I rate beers they way I enjoy them! The individual aspects are not nearly as important as the whole. Each beer is an experience of the environment as well as the brew itself. For eg: If you pay a lot for a beer doesn't that give you some feeling in itself? Do you have higher expectations or are you unduly influenced to think that you SHOULD like it. I try to take into consideration the consumption "event" and what proceeds it as well.
I don't like Belgium style beers or wit beers. I don't think beer should be sour. I used to really like Pilsners but now I mainly like IPAs (typical, right?). I like some stouts too but I feel like they are hard to get right. It's like peas; I like them fresh, but from the can - forget it.Interact
