You know that you're a geek when you have to create spreadsheets for every decision you make. When those spreadsheets start getting populated to keep track of all the bottles overflowing from every nook in your house, you know that you've become a beer geek.
I first tried craft beer back in the mid to late 90's. After growing frustrated with the only good local source, I resigned myself to drinking mostly Guinness until my brother-in-law (Barfwin) reintroduced me to craft a few years ago. At first I was all about Belgians and Russian Imperials. Since then my tastes have grown to encompass styles that I couldn't have imagined enjoying, like DIPA's and Barleywines.
