I had it on tap last night at the brewpub. Really tasty. First black IPA I've had that makes use of New Zealand hops. It has just a touch of roasted maltiness with tons of juicy passionfruit & tropical notes.

Most of it has been distro'ed. If I'm not mistaken, the last "one-off" that wasn't distro'ed was Rye da Lightning and that was last spring.

EDIT: Stack n Stabb wasn't, either. However, I was told they had unanticipated problems with label approval after the beer was bottled, so they couldn't distribute it.

Maybe if they end up releasing a double ipa, that can be the name, if so i trademark the term hopsick, and expect a few bottles shipped to me for free from 3 floyds

Cool. I know, in the end, the label was finally approved, so perhaps it did hit disto. By the way, that beer was totally overlooked and really tasty.

Ok if anyone can get ahold of this, I'm located in CT. I will run up to VT for some heady topper, or hill farmstead. Maine beer Company, new england brewing, brooklyn brewing. YOU NAME IT, I need this beer in my life

I picked it up a few weeks ago, it definitely wasn't even close to being my favorite BIPA's. It's way to piney in my opinion.

I was a bit surprised by this beer. It is a good BIPA but definitely NOT what I expected from FFF. It was...... balanced. In typical FFF fashion I was expecting an overly hopped beer but it was pretty balanced with hops and malt. The more I think about it I actually wished it was hoppier. I'm probably grasping at straws here because it is a good beer :grinning:

This was a good one from FFF, had one last weekend and will probably get more before they sell out. That being said I honestly liked FW wookie jack better... I know, blasphemy but its the truth.

Blasphemy? In case you haven't caught on, most people on here hate FFF.

everyone on here hates three floyds and dark lord..... now if you dont mind I need to get over to the 3F's teku glass, BA beer, and 9 pre-dark lord days threads on here. People bitch and complain about that place and their beer more then anything else yet from some reason I had to wait 20 minutes Saturday morning to buy a glass and a bomber. I tend to think most three floyd haters(z) are like in an Ike and Tina situation, and no matter how many times Ike (3F) hits em and they go online to complain, they ultimately are at the the brewpub next weekend or shutting down servers to buy dark lord day tickets.

Beer was decent, dreadnaught is about 1600 times better. If ya gotta tick go ahead, but not really worth going out of your way for it.
