For a beer which is maybe a couple months past its prime it is drinking quite well and the hops aren't dead by any means, though I can't say to what extent there's been a degradation in the intensity of the flavors since I have no fresh benchmark to go by. With the kind of release patterns that the monopoly has this is as fresh as it's going to get for us, being released just yesterday here. I just know it's a damned tasty beer as it stands.

I've had fresh and older hoppy ales from Sierra Nevada, including Northern Harvest, and I reckon that the hoppy flavours hang in there pretty darned well. Enjoy!

Had this one on tap at Schlafly a few weeks back. Very nice beer, and the sixers sold out very fast around here.

Tonight I'll try my first Hopslam. I found a display stack at my local grocery that looked very under appreciated.

Right Brain Naughty Girl Stout from Traverse City, MI is a perfect beer for this cold and snowy morning. Really tasty beer, seriously tastes like a thin mint cookie.

    Cheers!
