    Folks,

Finally my reservation came thru - made a couple of months ago - for this eatery. Three Blue Ducks in Bronte. - http://www.threeblueducks.com/ - took mrs heygeebee out for both a long trek and a very special night.

Worth noting that all courses are $17 - tho they recommend eating 4-5, and the beers are around $10. Seeing Hog Hop, and a couple of Red Ducks on a Sydney beer list was quite something, not to mention two Wild Things - 2011 @ $16, and the 2010 @ $22. Beauty!!! Vintages of beer have arrived  (btw - menu on web site a little dated)

Only slight complaint? The waitress was not a beer person. I asked what style Red Duck Pale Rider was, and she could not get me an answer from anyone.

    Recommended!

Pretty cool seeing a beer list as long as the wine list! Vintages are good, especially with things like Wild Thing.

Do you have to book 2 months in advance?

    2 month waiting list?!

You sure you didn't book into Tetsuya's by mistake

Glad to hear it was as impressive as it sounds.

I did - I wanted the 6:30 pm table on a Saturday - booked in early Jan for that.

They do two sittings, so you get in at 6, 6:15 or 6:30, then 8:30, 8:45, 9:00.....

lol I remember getting on a 2-month waiting list for Oscillate Wildly in Newtown when it was at the height of its popularity, then not being able to go on the day due to a personal emergency

don't think I could go through that again

I would happily wait for 2 months to go to a restaurant named after a Smiths song. Although if it was called 'I Started Something I Couldn't Finish' I would wonder about serving sizes, and if it was 'Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want' I would wonder about the waiters. Anyway, enough of my poorly constructed music jokes...

It's good to see restaurants pushing beers on their menus. Especially in vintages now. Re, your less then informed waitress. A lot of the time it's not their fault. It's the training regime. Then again, a lot of the time you just don't have the time to properly train people due to the tight wage margins you're on a lot of the time. You hope they pick up the much needed information of the job... Sometimes you get so desperate that your job interview with them consists of just measuring for a pulse...
