Pretty damn awesome last night. Anyone go? Vinnie opened a 9 liter Supplication, had no idea those existed. He was great. I brought my 66 year old mom there, who I introduced to craft beer with Pliny the Elder. She loves the stuff. I bought 2 glasses, and approached Vinnie and asked if he could serve her the glass. He agreed and was totally cool. Great night. I'll be there tomorrow for the game.

I definitely sucked down enough Compunction. Probably 27oz. D23 was amazing as always, love getting in on tap so I can spare my dwindling supply. Hurry up Batch 92!

Both anniversary beers were great, and Compunction needs to be bottled already...

Yeah, awesome time. That Supplication that Vinnie opened was outstanding. Now I know the hype surrounding large-format bottles...

After my buddy and I left we stopped by Toronado and Vinnie was there as well. We talked to him for a good 10 or 15 minutes. I'm sure I came off as a 12 year old girl at a One Direction concert. Good night overall.

Edit: Also, ISO of 3 liter Duvel tulip. lol.

I was there on Saturday. Felt great to finally try the draft only -tion beers. Compunction was awesome.

Went back yesterday, a lot of the regulars were there. I overheard some saying "I can't wait till all these 'TION kids are gone". O'briens clientele is a mixture of beer geeks and totally disgusting full blown alcoholics that sit and drink Racer 5 all day, every day, from opening to close.

I missed compunction :slight_frown: Can't complain about Supplication on tap though. My favorite "tion". The CBC Sour was also great. Was also real fun to get to try a full pint of Happy Hops.

Now you SD'ers can join the chorus of us NorCal folks clamoring for Vinnie to bottle Compunction (or at the very least, puhleeeeze make enough of it to allow growler fills). Hasn't been available around here since summer, when T25 was released, and frankly, Compunction kicked T25's ass around the curb.

I've never seen them put any sours in growlers, ask every time. Do they ever?

No, but they bottle them - off the top of my head, I can't think of another RR sour that they've never bottled. I'll settle for either, Vinnie!

They used to growler Compunction. I want to say that was three or four years ago, and it was about $40 a fill.
They've also never bottled Deification, as well as some of ther non-sour Belgians such as Publication, Erudition, Mortification, etc.
if I had to guess why they haven't bottled Compunction, I'd say two reasons: 1. Capacity issues. They only make a couple of barrels at a time. The pluots they use are locally sourced and they don't make that much. They're not looking to have another Beatification. 2. I've had a couple of old kegs of Compunction at the Toronado, and it doesn't really hold up. The fruit fades relatively quickly and it just starts tasting like off-temptation. It's really a beer that you want to drink as fresh as possible.

When I become a full blown alcoholic, I want to sit and drink Racer 5 all day.

One of my favorite events. The 9L bottle was unreal and it was pretty cool drinking from one of the chalices. Like everyone else has said, Compunction is just wonderful. That and the CBC were my must-have's.

It's cool drinking from them, then the next morning when sober you worry about mouth herpes and the flu from doing it. lol

Haha, I was worried about that and utilized the ever-so-juvenile "waterfall" technique.
