Westbrook Second Anniversary Release, Cap'n Skoon's Ballistic Stout. RIS brewed with lager yeast. Doesn't live up to the Forst Anniversary Stout (Mexican Cake) but its tasty!

Its great. Aroma gives a slight cherry flavor which gets hidden among the chocolate.

Started the day with a Dogfish Head Robert Johnson's Hellhound On My Ale on tap at one of my local beer stores. Enjoyed it so much I bought a bottle to drink at home and review later. No pic for now...

OK, now all of us here in PA are now looking at our watches every few minutes and asking our local distributors, "Is it here yet?"..........."Is it here yet?"........."And now?".......OK, I'll shut up........................."Is it here yet?"

Once I got home I popped open something I've been meaning to try for a while. Pretty damn tasty.

And I just wish I could get it in NY. I've never had Hopslam . . . but I'm very excited for Palate Wrecker's return, which should be very, very soon.

Looks like some awesome brews will be arriving soon according to this thread: Hopslam, Hoptimum, and Founders IS, all of which I hope to see locally soon. Tonight, enjoying some DFH Burton Baton.

    Cheers!

It's a community pool and the servants had the day off today so I had to pour my own beer :stuck_out_tongue:

Just enjoying some Capt. Lawrence Freshchester Pale Ale, which is a really, really solid brew, in my opinion. I'm slowly becoming more and more interested in APAs—not that I didn't enjoy them previously, but I just have usually opted to spend my money and palate on (D)IPAs, scattered varieties of pale Belgian beers, and the occasional Imperial Stout. But in my book, this is a very good APA that shouldn't be overlooked, and a pretty good value (~$10/ sixer in upstate NY).

Orval? Try Stillwater's Premium, if you can get it in your area. Should be about $11/ bomber, and it might be the funkiest motherfucker I've ever drank. Stillwater's Table Beer is somewhat more approachable, but probably equally funky.
