So far this eve, I've had a Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, and a Brown Shugga...

Girlfriend went to bed, so I might sneak one or two more...

I'm a complete music snob, and I'm not afraid to say that Awesome Wave is one of the greatest albums of all time... OF ALL TIME. Fucking John Lennon status... those guys are geniuses.

I can't disagree with you at all. I was mesmerized the first time I heard it. A buddy said "check this out", and we sat around for the entire album and missed a few plans that afternoon.

Concept albums are a lost art... and these guys managed to create a fluid work of art that you somehow don't necessarily have to listen to from start to finish - not an easy task.

    *cues up Awesome Wave*

This one song really hurt me. I found ALT-J on the internet but most the album sounds nothing like fitzpleasure. It's probably great, but for some reason that day i wanted the hard sound fitz brings. The rest was just a letdown. Maybe it was because that day i was searching for dubstep or something.

Give it a listen from start to finish... that album seriously delivers.

There is a LOT going on here, and at the same time, it can be quite barren (in a good way). I think if they stay on this course and flesh some of their ideas out a little bit, they will be nothing short of incredible.

Nice stout season glass. I just filled mine up with Founders Imperial Stout. I just picked up Tame Impala at my local record shop--great album! The song you put on here kinda sounds like Flaming Lips. It's my favorite one on Lonerism.

10-4, I am guessing I was just a crabby bastard that day. I will give it it a go, and keep you posted.

Deschutes Red Chair. A lot more maltiness than I expected. Syrup-ey taste. But it still is hoppy. Reminds me of Modus Hoperandi and Central City Red Racer IPA, though not as piney as those. While it wasn't what I expected ( A big hoppy citrusy pale ale like Zombie Dust), it still is great. Definitely a great beer/ pale ale/ and especially winter seasonal pale ale.
