Have you had Ta Henket? Probably the smoothest beer I've ever tasted. Really delicious.

I had it on tap and I loved it. I thought it was a fantastic beer and it goes with my other favorite Ancient Ales (Chateau Jiahu and Midas Touch) in the "must drink" category. I don't know what people are talking about when they say its awful or it tastes like NyQuil. It was awesome, try it. But for me, the only Ancient Ale I hated was Ta Henket. All the others were okay, not bad but not great.

No I don't believe I have, but I'll seek it out. DFH beers are very hit or miss for me. (And many others.) I sort of wait to here really good things about a certain beer before I go for it. There's just too much good stuff out there to spend 15 dollars on a bomber you arent' that enthused about.

Sam should be doing more test brews on his famously endorsed Sabco brewmagic and making this stuff delicious and worthy of the enormous price. I love the idea of resurrecting ancient "recipes" but at least make a beer that is drinkable.

Well, I liked Birra Etrusca Bronze. FWIW to anyone.

Birra Etrusca was quite interesting, happen to stumble upon a bottle in Bergen County.

I liked it out of the bottle, but when I had it on tap I wanted to bathe in the stuff.

That'd be one expensive and really gross bath... But I'm with ya.

I thought it was better on tap also. I had a bottle of it on Christmas and it was good, but not like on tap.

I know what you mean. Sah'tea was definitely a miss for me, but I have no doubt that other Dogfish enthusiasts love that brew. However, I just found Ta Henket to be really drinkable for a DFH production. I've had it from a bomber and on tap. Both just really quality beer.

See, I loved Sah'tea but Ta Henket was one of the most awful beverages I have ever ingested. Diff'rnt strokes and all that.

This gets better the more I have. Friends and I enjoyed our 3rd bottle tonight.

I'd kill to get a few bottles. I have only had it on tap.

This is the only ancient ale so far I didn't like. Just wasn't for me.....
