I can probably do this. I know you love pretrades.

Explain the doucheyness to me, someone who's not an active beer trader, because all I see is a guy who found out he might be able to get his hands on something awesome and he would rather trade it than drink it.

Seems less douchey than those who live in select cities getting on BA every February and dropping humblebrags left and right about how easy it was for them to get PtY.

Douchey = pretrade, for DONG (most well known DONG, at that), referencing trading for whales. What's NOT douchey about. Honestly, I thought it was all just troll fun

Other BAs being more douchey doesn't make this less douchey.

Can somebody please elaborate on what DONG stands for? Please also use it in context in a sentence. Brownie points for references to Natalie Portman's ass.

i understand what's annoying about this thread to so many, but i'm a little surprised at the outrage too. we're on a forum where the argument for cbs and king henry was "well, i only got ONE and it's delicious, so...", which was acceptable even though there were many thousands of bottles out there.

now, you just have 1 (maybe a few) growlers across the county, and those people will likely only get one, and it's delicious, so...

i mean yeah, of course he's going to try to hold people over a barrel for it. he should stop playing coy and people should stop feigning outrage.

Is "douchecanoes" pronounced like the water-going vessel or like a lava-spewing geologic phenomenon? Thank you, and I will take my answer off-air.

Water-going vessel...at least, according to Patton Oswalt.

Got it. Although, I do like the latter pronunciation/interpretation as well: a mountain-sized, douche-spewing entity.

I'm outraged about things that don't affect me all the time. Actually, I'm pretty sure the fact they don't affect me is the reason I'm outraged.

Oh trust me, if it was possible I'd definitely buy a growler for myself as well.

Ok, say he does get a growler of pty, how do those of us that have never tasted this nectar from the god Vinnie know that he didnt just fill a growler full of PTE and send it on its way? I think that is the bigger question.

Not really saying that this is what is happening, just making a blanket statement about any PtY type beer out there that gets put in a growler and traded. Who knows whats really in it. Just the beer gods and the filler

I'm not sure I'm outraged, but I will say that my answer to the originally posed question is: close to zero. The odds that it's actually a properly-filled growler of PtY are sufficiently low that I personally would not give up anything of value to get it.

Expand the trade to include bottles of Pliny the Elder. Easy game.
