Anyone actually crack open a bottle of this from this weekends release? Curious how it's tasting as I haven't mustered up the courage to open one.

Was at the cafe yesterday and it already sold out....well at least the cooler was empty where they had it on Saturday

If there was a release this weekend why should we assume that Black Note is tasting any different than the previous release? These kind of nonsense posts only occur when day drinking takes place, it is an extended holiday weekend so I cannot fault being drunk already. I love being drunk enough to imagine releases. Last night I though I was at a Barrel Aged Two Hearted release but it later occurred to me I poured my Two Hearted into my Manhattan.

Are you still in the Kzoo area? I am sure some locals would love to meet you for a drink!

Yeah, he should meet us in the back parking lot behind Bell's and we'll buy him a few beers.

This post is akin to yelling fire in a movie theatre...problem is that it created smoke but no fire as they apparently sold out yesterday. Nice!

So Bells releases are so secret now they aren't allowed to be spoken of, even after the fact? Got it.

When I joined I was told by my friend that the BAs up there do keep it a secret so the place isn't bombarded with out-of-towners and folks calling the brewery.

I can't even hate on that

So your saying that Bell's doesn't want people coming and buying their beer they release to the public and probably buying some beer at the brewpub as well? Or is it that the locals and those in the know don't want people to buy it so they can buy more? I find the second one more plausible.

It is what it is, man. I would like to buy some as well. Complaining about it to all the K-zoo people will probably get them to you tell about it though

It is not that it is a secret, plenty of people know. There is a huge difference between keeping it a secret and keeping it off of BA. Bell's posts anything they want to be public knowledge on twitter or Facebook, there is a reason they don't post all releases there. Bell's knows they will sell the bottles, they are not struggling for business and the location not really ideal for the shit show releases can become.

This isn't anything different from regular black note right? Since regular black note is aged in bourbon barrels

I can see why they keep it on the down low, but trying to diffuse a bomb after it has gone off or getting mad about it looks sketchy(not necessarily directed at you). Did Bell's post a sign saying don't post about it on BA? Maybe OP didn't see the sign. Maybe they need better sign placement.

Psh... it's not like any of us would want to try and buy more than the 2 we are allowed.
