Beers of the World got in a case and selling it for $30 after tax/deposit. That is absurd.

Beers of the world can shove those bottles up their ass.

I am not even close to cheap but I am not paying 30 dollars for a 17 dollar bottle of beer.

It's definitely not a 17 dollar beer and they didn't shove the bottles up their ass, they sold them all. If the beer costs more of course they will sell it for more. If they sold it at 17 a bottle they would not be in business very long

Beers of the world is the shittiest store in Rochester. And, I'm pretty sure they do shove bottles up their asses.

That is just a plain old ignorant statement. You should be lucky there's a store like that locally!

Nathaniel's and the rest of the small stores has everything I need. How much did you pay for coffee at botw?

Only time I go there is for kegs.

If the day ever comes that I'm craving a German lager or something like that, you're right I'll be lucky botw is around.

I'm heading up to Syracuse for X-Mas and will search that area for some Cherry Rye to bring back to Brooklyn, hopefully for a local trade. Looking for KH or other BA Barleywines.

anybody seen/heard of Cherry being anywhere else in Rochester? I've been calling around and it seems like no one has any idea if they're getting it.

30 is a considerable markup. Granted beer is a luxury good, but I don't feel like that is pricing that is eqitable for the consumer. Selling it at 17 is more rational than selling it at 30 if you are really trying to advocate for good beer for all.

I doubt Cherry will still be around by Monday at most places in Syracuse.

From what I've seen, your chances on getting a Cherry version in rochester is slim to none. Unfortunately the hype is getting out of control for beers that funny enough no one in Rochester has ever tasted before. I do like to try new beers and find out what the hype is or is not about, but I can buy a lot of beer for $30 I know I am going to like. Good luck on your hunt, but it may not be worth the frustration.

It gives me something to do rather than sit around with my in laws.

I'm also hoping that my friend who owns the beer store in my neighborhood manages to get a case from his distributor in January (he's 50/50 right now). If so, I'll be able to get one bottle to drink and one to trade.

Ok, I'll admit I was wrong they were not any left in Rochester. Although, I am not sure if there are any more left now. I'm just not sure a beer is worth that much trouble and time.

Was able to score three bottles around the Buffalo area with a little bit of good timing and some driving. Typical price is going for about 22-23 per bottle. A huge jump compared to the severely under priced Coffee for 13 bucks at Consumers, but I bet they were using the original release pricing.
