Yes, batch 12 was the first (bottled) batch. Had a good pepper spice (which is the only things the newer ones lack a bit of IMO, but I like chili beers), but the cinnamon was overbearing. With the newer batches, they balanced the flavors much better, upped the ABV and thickened the mouthfeel. Its the reviews of batch 12 that ruin its overall rating on BA. Any of the wax top versions are far superior.

The first batch actually had a bottled on date instead of the batch # if I remember correctly. Batch # 12 was the first "remake" I guess you can say with the new recipe.

You're right. My bad, batch 2 was the original batch.

I overheard one of the owners of Ipsento (coffee shop on Western/McLean) say that Pipeworks was brewing a beer with their coffee today. Hyper Dog or something else?

A test batch is being worked on today. Stopped by to pick up my Berliner Weiss glass and Scott gave me a tour and chatted beer for a bit. Those guys are great.

Did they contact you to let you know that it's ok to pick up the glass? I was curious when we could come and pick it up.

Speaking of glassware -- are the Blue Lady and/or branded globe glasses dishwasher safe? Don't want those logos coming off in the wash!

    Thanks!

I've been putting my "globe" glass in the dishwasher since February. Not a single sign of damage. It gets used at least once per week.

Good deal. Not that hand-washing would have been a big deal, but I really am that lazy.

careful, my Fwb snifter red logo has faded to a dismal pink :-\ (my fault for dishwashing, no criticism to the product)

I learned the hard way years ago...I always hand wash my beer glasses (besides pints).

And for the record, the keychains are the shit! No more having to bend my shotty-made Bell's one back into shape.
