No, You havent heard it's cause it wasn't made in 2011. All beer brewed in 2012 just sucks.

Got my six pack for $13.99 so it isn't everywhere in SE MI that is marking up.

I was made in 2011. I have a few bottles with a 11/01/11 bottling date

Before we start talking mark up I think it is fair to point out that Expo is about a $17 sixer from Bell's directly. Saying that stores like to mark up prices is the easy answer but not allows the most accurate. I think the low prices in this thread should indicate that some places are selling this beer really low rather than too many places selling too high.

I bought a 6 pack last week and was it was unique to say the least. The Foam rising was exponential!!!! very few beers in my experience do that.

Actually was a '94 and it was awesome - this beer nerd is jealous to do it again.

That makes sense I have been noticing as I use this site more and more WI beer prices seem to be lower than the average. What you have to remember though is getting something directly from the manufacturer isn't always the cheapest. A good parallel would be with musical instruments they all have an MSRP and generally if a manufacturer also sells instruments its going to be closer to the MSRP, because they are selling them retail, than a normal music store because they can charge you more directly then they can a music store who has to mark it up to sell it. Without knowing how much liquor stores spend on the beer its hard to know if its unfair mark up or not

It was incredible. as Kzoobrew said, this beer easily holds up over 20 years. We also had a batch 7,000, 3,000, '99 Eccentric, batch 1589 Third Coast Old Ale 1994 in addition to the 94 Expy from my cellar and Larry pulled out some really old Cherry Stout, a barrel aged Java Stout and a couple of other things. One of my more favorite times with Larry on Eccentric Day.

The batch number was 11384 with a 8/28/12 date. With all of the fizz I will sit on it for a year then try it. I had the same problem with Dragonmeads limited release quad this year. What was interesting was I had a 2011 a few days back and it was really good.

Bought a sixer last Friday for tailgating the Michigan game this past weekend. 2/3 of the guys I was with had to pour it out because the product was so terrible. This is my first purchase of a Bell's product in several years (reasons to long to discuss in this thread) but I was very disappointed and do not plan on having any future Bell's products for quite some time.

Probably not my first choice for a tailgating beer, but all of you that are pouring Bell's onto the ground, please stop buying it. There are plenty of us who are more than willing to pour it into our mouths where it is supposed to go.

I'll gladly take the other 3 off your hands if you still have them. Cash, $4$ with something else. Let me know.

Looks like you live in Detroit, I work downtown so shouldn't be too hard to get this done. Not that I can't just buy it off the shelf, but I hate the thought of any more Expy getting poured out at a tailgate!

Except for good old batch 6811, which was one of the sweetest beers I've ever had.
