    Why so?

    I don't cup when I taste and not really interested in that aspect so much as I think they're a unique 'art' of glassware.

    My grandma gave me these glasses she got over 60 years ago when her and my grandfather were stationed in Germany. I rarely drink from them.

    They're beautiful. I couldn't help myself from using them, especially knowing my grandfather most likely drank beer from them as well. But then again, I'd hate myself if even one broke.

    The funny thing is my grandfather didn't like beer, and neither did my grandma. I was the first person to drink from those according to her. The smallest one has never been drank from. They sat on a shelf (and still do) for decades. I am too scared to drink from them haha.

    they conveniently all fit in this small cabinet we have in our living room. it was a furniture piece my wife wanted and we had nothing to put in it so i took it over. unfortunately it is now at it's tipping point and extras i've had to find a separate place for.

    They look great it just seems like it would be odd drinking out of them.

    I love being fancy so, of course, I love my custom engraved Stella goblets. Fancy does indeed taste better.

    It's past my bedtime, but I can't sleep, so why not take some pictures of glassware? This isn't quite all of it(there's a few that I need to wash or can't find, have multiples of some of these, and I have a shit ton of shaker pints)

    [IMG]

    Unbranded stuff. I like the quasi-taku style, second from the left.

    [IMG]

    Snifters. Iowa City Brewfest, Bellevue(great little snifter), Founders, and Delirium Tremens

    [IMG]

    Iowa City Brewfest Tulip, Ulrich Pils interesting shaped glass, Iowa City Brewfest Flute, and Sammy Perfect Pint(also have a 22oz version)

    [IMG]

    Rochefort chalice, New Belgium Globe, St. Bernardus chalice

    [IMG]

    Lost Abbey Teku, Erdinger Hefe, and Hill Farmstead(my current favie)

    The others, off the top of my head, are a New Glarus flute and a Goose Island Silver Goose wine glass style. I'll be picking up a few more of those, and some Pumking snifters, in short order.

    My dad actually has a whole set of those gold rimmed Stella glasses, got them at a garage sale or something.

    I scored a couple nice ones at the salvation army this weekend. A nice Tulip and ,don't know what it would be called, it has a large bowl with a smaller but hollow base. Both are unbranded. Ill have to snap some pics when I get home. I also found some decent branded ones for pretty cheap at a local beer place that Ill probably pick up after payday.

    My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon in Brussels, Belgium, and I made sure to pick up glassware at every brewery we visited. From left:

    - Brugse Zot and Straffe Hendriks from Brouwerij De Halve Maan in Bruges;
    - Westvleteren goblet I picked up from a store in Brussels;
    - Three glasses from Cantillon in Brussels;
    - Grutt from Gentse Stadsbrouwerij in Gent.

    As I'm getting close to 300 items, I think it's about time to get some updated pics of my glassware collection.

    Not a great photo, but these tend to be my go-to glasses throughout the year: unbranded Mikasa tulip (great for IPAs), Westy goblet, Hill Farmstead longstem, Alaskan Brewing pint glass (had it since the '90s and it still looks brand new), 2012 Kate the Great snifter

    I got this last night for $4 at, of all places, Whole Foods Market (Downtown Austin).

    Nice thick heavy glass. Accidentally dropped it once already onto tile and the glass merely laughed about it.
