Thanks! I thought I had read that they were working on a work around, but must have missed the solution post.

They are still working on the integration- this falls under that umbrella- but the final solution has not been implemented.

Good to know. I was concerned that perhaps the process was so complicated, that they had to give up on it.

While this works if you're a member and logged in, it does not work for non-members. So at the moment it's still not possible to view anyone's reviews unless you're a logged in member of BeerAdvocate. This also makes it impossible to create custom RSS feeds of your reviews, which is something that was easy to do before. This is a huge loss for anyone who doesn't happen to be a member of the site, it makes it feel like a closed community.

is that a big concern? Registration is free and easy, and the conversion is in the works anyways.

It's just an extra step that we didn't have to do in the past. Can't wait to have the wants, gots, reviews integrated! Will be so much easier when trading or looking for specific gots.

It's a concern for any *member* as well, since it's impossible to access even your own reviews e.g. via a custom RSS feed. For instance, I'd like to put up a BeerAdvocate widget on my blog to promote my reviews and BeerAdvocate in general as well, but that's now impossible. The point is that it makes it much more difficult for people to even hear about the site -- an RSS feed would be the perfect way to showcase the site content.

But this is a request for an RSS feed, which has nothing to do with this thread. You might want to put in the request in the proper forum so others can chime in and it doesn't get overlooked.

What I have done is just google "beer reviews beeradvocate (username)" and it pops right up

I have to bring up the obvious, Why not hire an outside expert about integrating forums, someone that would have had it done and completed months ago? Not trying to be an ass. You have a great site but this should have been done awhile ago instead of making excuse after excuse. JMO...

Don't mean to be a bother, but how are things coming?

Sorry, I should've been clearer: I'm not requesting an RSS feed (although it would be nice), I'm requesting offline access to my own reviews so that I can create an RSS feed *myself* with something like Feed43. I had one in operation before and it worked just fine, but with access to the "your beers" page blocked from non-members, the feed obviously doesn't work. So all I'm asking is enabling that in the same way as it was before. I realize that this is probably in the works anyway, but I thought it's worth emphasizing.

    you can't do it with http://beeradvocate.com/user/beers?ba=Arborescence&view=R ?

the direct links to our reviews always were just direct links to that page, or at least they have been for a long time. the "work around" people mention recently to get to your review page is just how some people (e.g. me) who are too lazy to click "your beers" and would instead just start writing 'review' in their browser got to their reviews. i don't know anything about Feed43, but surely the necessary aspect wasn't a script looking at your profile and clicking "your reviews"...

First of all, thanks for keeping us up to date on the status of the integration. I know it's a tall task.
I had a question I didn't see addressed anywhere specifically: down the road, will our avatars again be associated with our reviews, instead of the generic Ba logo?
    Thanks.
