I tried it this weekend and thought it was really unremarkable, and to be blunt, rather bland. And I'm usually a strong Bruery apologist, but this one didn't do it for me.

On a side note, I'm really thankful that the Bruery is making these available in advance this year (or more accurately, since late last year). Last year, it seemed like I blindly bought a lot of ones I didn't love and didn't buy enough of the ones I did (Filmishmish, you will be mished!).

Honestly their whole bar staff feels that way to me. Cold, douchey, what do you want attitude. If I worked their I'd be the happiest college student in the world.

Okay so some people like it, some people don't, but there haven't been too many reasons given as to why. Could people who've had it talk about how sweet or hoppy they felt it was, any tartness or funk, earthy notes, or any other notable flavors they picked up?

I was there on Saturday to pick up a bottle of M3 and the guy at the register was the biggest douche. I politely asked for a bottle, he sighed and walked over to the case. When he came back to ring me up he kinda just tossed me my receipt. I chuckled and said "Have a nice weekend"...He just kinda stood there. Not the first time this guy has been a weirdo but the guy with the beard and the glasses has always been cool.

I had this happen to me when pronouncing Otoise. Hipster douche corrects me, "Ahem, it's pronounced Oh-shuss."

    Eat shit.

Perhaps they should add the phonetic spelling in () after the name when they send allocation announcement emails.

Last night I literally ordered a Saison Toneblahblahblah. No one tried to correct me, I got the beer I ordered, and the bartender chuckled. Did the same with flimishmishmishmish and otiosheeshushshshsh. Until I get a pronunciation guide, i doubt I'll change my ordering habits, and I doubt anyone's going to try and correct me.

the funny thing is, they mispronounce Otiose. It isn't oh-shuss like they say. Its oh-she-os, or in the old school, closer to latin pronunciation, oh-tee-os (basically the phonetic pronunciation as it is spelled).

As a side note. Was at Noble Ale Works around 2-3 PM today, very sparse and quiet with 2 other people drinking there. Then Patrick Rue entered, also another guy with a Taps uniform entered. Wondered what's going on there.
