I do the 1/6 barrels because i dont go through them all that fast and like to be able to get new ones whenever i want.

I agree with that too. 15.5 gallons is a big commitment at my pace. I do occasionally get slim quarters which as you would expect is better than sixths, but not as good as halves. I had a quarter of Yuengling Porter go bad after 5 months on tap, still a gallon in it I expect.

I have 4 of my 5 taps flowing right now...

    1. Imperial Stout - MZ clone
    2. Experimental Red Ale - I had a bunch of small amounts of various specialty grains so I just added them all into a brew to see how it would turn out.... it's actually pretty good after sitting over a year, wasn't so great when it was fresh

Enjoyed a keg of Saint Somewhere Anne last year. Going to attempt to get it again this year. It's an excellent beer.

Yeah... I occasionally volunteer at the brewery when Bob is bottling... The Saison Athene keg that I have on now is about a year and a half old. It's getting good and funky. Most folks go home with a 6 pack of bottles for compensation, I go home with a full 5-gallon corny keg. I win :-)

Not sure if you are in the bay area or not, but Drakes has a great Brew Rhino keg program where you can swap em out at the brewery, much cheaper than going through a retailer ($55-65 to swap out the kegs with a new one).

1/2 bbl of Alaskan Amber Ale. I have maybe another week before it goes belly up. I started the year with a 1/2 bbl NB Ranger than on to a 1/6 bbl of Pranqster.

My first ever homebrew stout is on tap right now, and I'm afraid it might be the best stout I'll ever make. I have the recipe written out and everything, I just hope this isn't a fluke.
