I'd have to say: Nope! Is this another desperate move from the big guys to make more people drink their yellow water? Hmmm...Imagine the future, sipping an Arrogant Bastard from a pouch?!?!

Never, more for environmental reasons than anything else.

I think this whole issue is more geared toward the malt liquor side of things like mikes, seagrams, smirnoff, and parrot bay mixed drink pouches. Most of the ones out now are made of wine and the grocery stores and what not in certain states are not allowed to sell them. This is the problem we experienced last summer when those little pouches came out at least.

This. We don't need more plastic packaging... water bottles are already doing enough damage.

screw the pouch. I want a sippy cup

wait a second.... a pouch means you're drinking the beer through a straw  Who on earth wants to do that?!

After a few brews I would end up shooting beer straight in my eye while I put the straw Capri sun style

Total Wine has Champagne in a can. Even came with a sippy straw. Best $3.99 I spent, so why not beer?

Would make for some entertaining reviews...

Presented in a silver 12oz bag and stabbed with a pink and green pinstriped straw. Bagged on date xx/xx/xx.
    Appearance: none.
Aroma: none to speak of except for plastic straw.
    Flavors are mostly...plastic.
Feel: not sure, can't get much through the tiny straw. Makes me feel like a preschooler though.
Overall this beer perfect. I'd give this beer a 5.0 and whale status. ISO! ISO!

If good beer is in the pouch then why not.

Cuz there's no reason the good beer couldn't be in a can or a bottle and plastic pouches aren't biodegradable.

Awesome, now parents can get their drink on @ jr's soccer games...how long before Leinenkugels is putting Summer Shandy in Capri Sun like packaging which would be appropriate. Or Bud w/their Strawberry Lime A Rita?? Imagine getting popped for an"open container" er pouch:rolling_eyes:

How does it keep carbonation? Anything else sold that way is non-carbonated. Although apparently there are more and more wineries going this route, even some of the higher end guys. Seems like it would useful for hikers, less weight, less waste to carry back.

yes they would be great for a survival campout... I think 99.9% (if not 100%) craft breweries know this is a bad idea and will not do it. AB may do it but a good brewer will not.
