Its in the same shopping center that holds Underground Bluz and a few other college bars right on the corner of University and Alafaya.
The atmosphere is decent, nothing bad, but nothing great. They have a long row filled from top to bottom of beer, plus a couple refrigerator doors of 6packs.
Unfortuately, they won't let you break up any 6 packs to buy singles, but they have a pretty good selection of bombers to buy.
You likely won't find any hiden gems here, but it has a selection large enough to keep and beer-nerd leaving happy.
The staff is always friendly, and the few I have talked to have had a pretty good knowledge about beer.

ok, so from the outside this place looks like any token small liquor store....pass it up and you'd be making an awful mistake.
the selection is actually quite small. there's only one small isle and one row of coolers which have most of the same beer. The isle is filled with some amazing treasures. there are tons of 750mL bottles and just so many freaking rare bottles.
The most amazing thing about this store is that they age their own beer. they'll store some higher ABV beer for years! just when you think you'll never enjoy a favorite again, bam there it is on the shelf!
the staff is very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable as well!

Shamrock is located directly across the street from the University of Central Florida in the same shopping center as Underground Bluz. The selection really is not that bad, it is surprising some of the stuff that they carry considering most of their business probably comes from the college frat crowd. I actually picked up a couple sixers of Hopslam at this location to my surprise. I would suggest going to Shamrock first, then going to Big C next which has a wider selection and is only about 5-10 minutes away from Shamrock.

Shamrocks selection has got a lot better and bigger in the past few years. Yes, its a liquor store first and the majority of the beer they do is kegs due to the college crowd. But they have a lot of really good beers including Lagunitas, St. Bernardus, Dogfish Head, Unibroue, etc. The staff is very knowledgeable about their liquors and their beers. The prices are awesome as well(depending on the hop crisis, but compared to others, they're great). Also, they are willing to order kegs or cases for you if they can, just as long as you are committed to the order.

I too found this store, via BA, (thanks guys), since I was staying on the east side of Orlando (Oviedo) and needed some craft brews to quench my raging thirst.
The descriptions from the other BAs are fairly accurate, it is a small store jammed into a section of a mail. Door is barred to prevent breakends, not exactly too appealing, but the guys inside were very helpful and attentive. The two shelves will hold enough brew for you to choose a decent variety for the week/weekend.
This was was OK, but I found another store, nearby on University Blvd. that had over 450 brews, that is also a good choice if youre in the east side of Orlando. Look under winter park for Big C Liquors.

Shamrock's on University and Alafaya is very close to where I live. I have been in there many times. Mostly the same two guys are always working there, and they've always been friendly to me, and they actually know something about good beer.
What can I say about the selection. It's good, enough. Shamrock is a very small store, so after fitting in liquor, wine, and some cigars, it's a feat that they managed to find some room to fit in some quality beer as well. Not that they have to, I mean, they could sell nothing but Bud Light and cheap liquor, and still make a nice profit. But they do, and they do a pretty good job of getting the important stuff on the shelves.
They don't have the largest selection of beer in orlando, but what they do have is adequate.
My only complaint is that on certain days, maybe sunday or monday...they're beer aisle is clogged up with empty kegs, which block the craft beer shelf (like I said, it's a small store).

So I had to pick up a keg for a party my sister was having and she is friends with the owner so she wound up ordering it from here.
The store is located directly across the street from the University of Central Florida campus in a little shopping center that also houses Underground Bluz.
The store is very small and a little bit cramped, but not overwhelmingly so.
I wandered around the store and found their "craft beer" selection which consisted of 2 coolers and 3-4 long shelves of warm bottles. Overall the selection is okay for this part of Orlando. They had a fair selection of micros (including DFH, Flying Dog, etc.) and some pretty decent imports.
The staff was very friendly and was able to answer some of my questions about the beer.
Personally, I would rather shop right up the road at a different liquor store with a better selection, but I suppose for a UCF student with no car and a hankering for craft beer this place is pretty darn good.
