This one reminded me more of a bitter than an American Pale Ale.

Appearance: Slightly cloudy golden color, not much head and no lacing. Not the most attractive beer at Brewer's Art.

Smell: fairly faint, honey and caramel aromas.

Taste reminds me very much of a bitter I had in South Africa last month. Some honey flavor, some floral hop notes.

Mouthfeel is very light. This is where you realize this is only 3.8% ABV. Nothing objectionable, though.

Drinkability isn't so high. This is good for pacing yourself, but there are so many better beers at Brewer's Art to try.

On tap at the Brewers Art Brew Pub.

Poured a light golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of some spiciness and caramel. Tastes of the same spiciness, honey sweetness, and caramel. I found this to be a little light for my tastes.

Sampled for the first time in a looong time this friday.
Poured a dark hazy peach with a light off-white head that quickly died. Gets notability for being one of the few super cloudy brewer's art beers. Very faint aromas of malts.

Flavor is pretty weak, there are some sweet malts in there and a decent European hop finish. There was a slight sour background note as well. However, for a "light" beer, this one is pretty decent about on par with the majority of the light brews of NC. Very light mouthfeel, without much body at all, even with limited carbonation.

I would not rate Sluggo as easy drinking because it just came off as bland. I'd have another over macro swill, but that is about it.

Pours a pale golden amber with a thin fizzy white head. Smell is mild and malty, just the faintest hint of hops. Taste is malty and grainy, some honey as well, with a little too small of a hop finish. Medium bodied--very nice for such a light beer. Overall I was impressed with the amount of flavor they were able to cram into a light beer, but it falls far short of any of their other offerings. Good to finish the night off if your trying to pace yourself.
