A: pours a deep amber with some light transmission with a half inch of off white head that recedes to a small pool.
S: smells of toasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, toffee and some noble hop aroma
T: toasted malt, slight chocolate, caramel, slight dark fruit, a bit nutty, small noble hop flavor. aftertaste is more toasted malt and a bit of roast and some noble hops.
M: middle of the road leaning toward full. nice soft carbonation lends to a very smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel
O: a well crafted beer with excellent complexity and balance. this beer probably could have gone cloyingly sweet if it wasn't for the dosage of hops they used.

Thanks to Rich for sharing.
The pour is a dark amber color with an off-white head. Lots of toffee and bread malt aromas with a touch of toast. There is a bit of a nuttiness in the background. Tastes much like it smells. Sweet bread and toffee with a hint of brown sugar. A nice nuttiness and perhaps even a hint of vanilla. It’s also a bit toasty with a mild fruitiness. Not bad at all.

Bottle received in a trade recently, thanks. Beer is brown and hazy with a thin than head, low retention, moderate to aggressive carbonation, low retention.
Aroma is sweet, a little smokey, a little malty, smells fine.
Beer is medium in body, nice malt up front, a little smoke like character but not smoky. It is hard to describe, the malt character is nice, mildly nutty, I like it. A decent bock.

22 oz bomber pours a clear copper color with a creamy cap of tan head. Nice stickage and generally a pretty nice looking beer.
Rich caramel and light toast on the nose with just a hint of grassy hops. Pretty clean and what I like best is that it has no metallic notes lurking on the background, which seem common in all but the best of bocks for me.
Nice caramelized malts and nutella-covered toast flavors with a welcome, drying finish despite the sweet middle. Surprised to find a little bit of fruitiness in here…perhaps light plums? Im guessing the ABV is around 7 or 7.5, right at where a nice German Bock should clock in at. Why cant their regular Bucking Bock taste like this?? A nice treat and Rahr has come up with some good limited release bombers the past few years, maybe its time to revamp the mediocre (at best) year-round lineup? They have proved they can make some damn good brews when they want to.

A nice dark copper color and an off-white head. Excellent lacing. A very good looking beer.
The aroma is earthy, with toasted malt, biscuit, caramel, and roasted nuts. This thing smells damned tasty!
Thinner and lighter bodied than I expected, but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of this beer. The flavor is very similar to the aroma. Caramel, toffee, pecan and toast. The flavor is not overly sweet as it's balanced with a nice earthy hop flavor in the finish, that leads to a semi-dry, balanced aftertaste.
One of the best beers I've ever had from Rahr.

Picked a bottle of this up in Fort Worth over the Thanksgiving holiday and have been waiting to crack it open for a few days now. Monday seems a good a day as any.
First off, this is a really pretty beer. Pours a deep rich copper color with bright strawberry highlights when held up to the light. Nice thick off-white head and some lace. Really good looking beer here. The nose is earthy, nutty, and slightly herbal. Nice enough, but nothing fancy in the aroma. But the taste picks up where the nose doesn't. Dry and sweet up front with a dark fruit kick that mixes well with faint banana and pear, and a slightly hoppy dark cherry finish. Much more complex than I was expecting. Perhaps a bit less malty-sweet and more fruity-sweet than a true bock, but not bad at all. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but not detrimentally so.
On the whole, this is a tasty brew. While perhaps not the truest example of the style here in the States, it's far more sophisticated than its Texas cousin, Shiner Bock. I would happily return to this. Well done, Rahr.
