Wiseman Justin reporting.
Appearance: Foggy amber appearance. Two finger very white head. Could have scored more points by eliminating the really weak head and improving the base color.
Smell: It smells like mediocre beer. It slightly reminds me of Double Barrel Ale by Firestone. If I try really hard I start imagining that I'm smelling grapefruit. Mild malt + hops. It's decent!
Taste: woah! GuH! Okay so it's not "GuH" bad. But seriously I was expecting somewhat of a better taste. I'm not sure what's going on here but I've had better. The guy below me says he can taste carmel. I'm calling bull shit. No Carmel.
Mouthfeel: It has an unremarkable yet adequate mouthfeel.
Drinkability: It's an amber ale. You could drink these all night long with ease. I'm drinking one of them. Sometimes drinkability means you WANT more. Othertimes it means you could continue drinking them. This beer falls under the latter catagory

A - Nice amber color and head
S - Strong caramel smell with hints of hops
T - Caramel but with a stronger metalic taste. Smell is better than taste.
M - Good amount of carbonation and smooth going down.
D - High on the drinkability scale, could drink an entire 6 pack of this.
Whould I buy it again: probably not
Would I recommend it to a friend: Yes, because they might like it
Would I drink it if I was offered at a party: Yes
Overall: Good

I have tried to embrace Mt. Shasta beer, but this and their other offerings just feel slightly amateurish.
Pours amber with negligible head. Aroma is quite sweet, brown sugary. Flavor, however, is surprisingly malty, with grain and a slightly medicinal, aspriny bitterness. The flavor has a bit of pear and apple with a earthy hop background. The mouthfeel is syrupy and clingy though it winds up surprisingly dry.

Bottle swiped at a competition.
A - Pours mahogany with 2 fingers of cappuccino head. Dissipates slow and leaves beautiful lacing.
S/T - Burnt toffee, some grapefruit, and bittering hops. Slightly metallic and the malts are over-roasted for the style and none too complex.
M - Medium bodied, hop dominated, bitter and slightly metallic lingering in the mouthfeel.
D - This brewery usually has better beer, but this bottle was fairly disappointing.

An across the board solid amber ale.Poured a nice deep amber with a slight haze and minimal head.
Malt foward aroma, sweet honey, burnt toffee, and just a slight hint of hoppiness to balance.
It's good, earthy, and bready like a coffeecake. More towards the english style than pacnw. It's a more or less forgettable brew, as most ambers tend to be, but it was free of imperfections, making it something i'd look for again on shelves. A smooth drinker and a rather fine offering from the friendly folks in Weed.

"Try Legal Weed" the cap tells me, and i just say o.K. This is review #3 from Panther Meadow on Mt.Shasta aprox 7,500 up. This will be my first taste before i go to the Brewer on sunday.
vibrant amber color, sticky, clumpy and well-retained.
Dry herbs and seasoning, red fruits also in the hops makes itself present right off. A nutty, almost smokey malt provides nice aroma's. roastie brown sugar and mild sweet fruits in the hops.
An herbal and bitter hop bite hits first with a classic balance of toastie, slightly roastie malt, minor sweet-fruitiness current in the back and a crispy medium feel.
Pretty much right on.

A: off white head with soapy bubbles encompassing the rim of the glass. The body is a reddish amber with splashes of brown and orange all around with active bubbles. A nice speckled display of lacing
S: a handful of somewhat potent green cones, mostly floral, grassy, and crisp earthy green smells. Deep whiffs pull at a malty caramel brown sugar nose
T: somewhat of a raw piney, floral, and herbal spice smack. Malt base is mild and sprinkled with a hefty dose of buttery brown sugar chunks. The malt interplay's nicely with the hops. Sweet and malty with a sharp bite at times. However, not very evenly balanced and only displays dual flavors on the palate
M: mild body with easy going character and a good level of carbonation. Finishes clean and rather nice
D: touch on the sweet side with a dose of malts and hops. Not bad, but never again for me

This is red-brown copper with a smallish, lasting tan head and some nice lace.
The aroma has a dominant toasty quality with hints of chocolate and caramel but not really like either, the result being a definite "tootsie roll" smell, along with hints of raisins, leaves, hints of grapefruit and pine, bread crust, prunes, and overall very nice.
The taste is yeasty bread and fruit, leaves, hay, pine (especially in the finish), bitter lemon, a hint of grapefruit and sour apples, along with a faintly chocolaty light toastiness. It's zesty with a dryish-bitter finish and overall quite good, with an interesting character and blend of both a light English quality and West Coast US style. The flavours are, though, rather muted and slightly on the weak side, except for the clear sweetness and bitterness. It starts sweeter but bitterness takes over by the end to entirely dominate the finish, with light lingering bittersweet aftertaste. It's also just a little too much on the sweet side at first and bitter in the finish, with the mutedness of the flavours not quite living up to the rest consistently. However, what flavours it has are interesting, very good, and slightly unique as a whole.

Appearance: Poured form the 12oz bottle into an imperial pint glass. The beer is a dark orange with some red highlights. Somewhat clear. Topped with a light tan head that grew to one and a half fingers thick and stuck aorund for a while.
Smell: Nicely hopped with hints of strawberry and citrus. A light bready malt comes in to balance. Altogether, somewhat sweet, nice acidity but very well balanced.
Taste: Citrusy and hops, with a pineapple note being most noticeable. Malt comes through in the midpalate as a slightly bready sweet character with a touch of caramel. Finishes hoppy and a bit sweet with a fruity and piney flavor.

A - beautiful clear amber color, slightly creamy head, sporadic rings as I drink.
S - Sweet, almost a little too sweet for me. I pick up distinctly pineapple notes with some citrus in the background.
T - More of that pineapple, bit of an enjoyable hoppy aftertaste.
M - well-balanced and substantial, the carbonation sort of takes a second to develop in the mouth.
D - Extremely drinkable, in my opinion, especially considering its flavor. No unpleasantness accompanying the hoppiness and sweetness. Goes down very smooth.
This is my first review, and I'm a bit of a novice. Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers!

12 oz. bottle poured into a shaker, Abner Weed Amber is a darker brown amber with an olive-tinged light tan head that subsides pretty quickly leaving modest lace.
Smell is pretty light sweet, brown sugar and caramel, with a touch of piny hops.
Taste is also nice and malty sweetness, some fruity esters, floral hops on the lingering finish.
Mouthfeel is perhaps a tad thicker, mediumium bodied.
Drinkability is pretty good if you don't mind them to sweet, this is a delicous and easy drinking amber. This is remarkably similar to the Dick's Mountain Ale Amber I just had, but with less dry-hopping and more malt sugars.

D- tasty, i'd have a few.

Pours a dark amber / copper color with a nice thick bubbly head. Nice looking brew.
Beer smells sweet, malty, and tea like.
The flavors are crisp and quite malty. There is a touch of sweetness, a bit dry like quality, and finishes with just a touch a bitterness.
Mouthfeel is good. Beer finishes nicely, and is well rounded.
This is a nice drinkable dark amber ale. It is a bit bolder than other ambers, but the flavors are good, and with the 5.5% ABV this could be a pretty good session brew.

Pours a three finger cream head that fades quickly to a ring leaving traces of lace. Almost cloudy amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Seems to be a malty nose. Starts almost sweet mid-finish hops dominate, not a bad amber. $1.55 for a 12oz bottle from John's Market Tigard, Or.

Appears a dark ruby hue topped off with a razor thin smattering of a headcap.
Scents are deep red apple and apple skins and a touch of cinnamon.
First swigs: Fluffy light caramel and red apple. The hops really dry this one down. The aftertaste is really dry. Falls on a dead spot of caramel corn.
Medium bodied with a generous portions of carbonation.
Last swigs: Spun around in circles over a caramel corn candy.

Had never heard of this brewery before I saw a six pack of this in Salem
Comes in a 12 oz brown bottle with a olde time picture of Mr Weed, i presume ,on the label.
In appearance this a quite dark "amber" ale, very deep amber almost brown, small yet appealing tan head, gorgeous lace left down the glass.
Aroma is very malty, sweet toffeeish malt.
Mmm very sweet malty beverage , with a small hop "kick" right at the end, which prevents the beerr becoming cloying. I like it ,though I am a fan of sweet malty beers, a hop head might take a different view.
The mouthfeel is excellent, quite thick for the style, low carbonation makes this easy to go down.
Nice beer , very sweet but also very drinkable forme.
