Brewed with the tropical and fruity hops of Australia and New Zealand – Galaxy, Pacific Jade, and Vic Secret – this Imperial IPA showcases big passion fruit, lychee and mango hop character with subtle notes of black pepper, herb and spice.

Appearance - Classic looking IPA/DIPA look pours with a 2 finger head.
Smell - Very inviting tropical fruit smells based on smell this appears to be a DIPA to be reckoned with.
.
Taste - Wow this is a great DIPA complex and refreshing at the same time. The first time I had it was on draft in a restaurant and I could not find out who brewed it. Two weeks later I bought a growler of it in my bottle shop and found out it was Saranac. Not sure if it's being bottled, but it should be massed distributed.
Mouthfeel - Medium to heavy body I would say.
Overall - This is a grand slam homerun for Saranac, a definite game changer in their line up and I encourage them to do more. I would definitely seek this out. Go Utica!

Had on tap multiple times. Pour inconsistently, sometimes clear and clean and sometimes hazy and chunky, decent head rentention. Nose has strong pine bitterness with slight floral notes and grapefruit zest. First taste is unbalanced grapefruit bitterness with a second layer of caramel sweetness, finish leave a fusel burn if alcohol. Medium-heavy mouthfeel with solid carbonation. Do quite understand the hype, guess I don't work for the brewery.

Had this IPA on tap today at the Green Onion Pub in Utica, NY, as part of their anniversary draft lineup. Had it side by side with Stone Enjoy By 10/31/15. Due to Stones reputation for producing world class IPA's, making their best effort in the Enjoy By series, one would see this as an unfair competition. Objectively appreciated, the Enjoy By was a more refined production, having a better look and mouthfeel. However, in terms of aroma and flavor, the Saranac Pacific Galaxy IPA blew Enjoy By away. So, if you would like a low bitter, tropical fruit hop bomb for an extremely affordable price, look no further. This one is as aromatic and tasty an IPA that I've ever had, and I've had plenty of Heady, and a little Pliny. Beer Geeks shy away from Saranac products because historically, though cleanly produced, have been at best, pedestrian. Not anymore, and for sure, not this one. If you love hops, get it.

Poured into a plastic solo cup (for outside drinking) at the Westover Beer Garden.
A DIPA that tastes like no other I have had before. A very nice beer from a brewer for whom I do not always have the highest opinion. 4.25
A - Nice head and lacing. 3.75
S - Tropical fruits. 4.25
T - Well balanced. Malty, a bitter sweeter than most DIPAs, fruity hop flavors, not a bitter bomb. 4
MF - Medium heavy body, semi-dry finish, I got a tinch of bitter heat just before the end. 4

Very heavy, hoppy, cloudy IPA. Just not a fan of this Saranac IPA. Too much hop flavor for this beer fan. This was a beautiful beer, a nice aroma and overall a good use of exotic hops.

Pours hazy gold-orange with a pungent aroma if citrus and fruity hops up front. Has a nice complexity with a big body for an IPA. Pleasant tart, aromatic aftertaste. Does not taste boozy at 8.5%. One of the best IPA's I've had, ever.
