Reddish brown body; one finger of cream colored head that dissipates almost immediately; no lacing at all. Simple aroma of oak, tart cherries, mild vinegar; vaguely herbal hops. The flavor is pretty much in line with the Flanders style; oak, cherries; light vinegar, well hidden booze. Modest caramel sweetness and light sweetness reminiscent of underripe cherries, lemons, Granny Smith apples.

Medium to slightly light bodied, medium carbonation. Some liveliness on the palate. In the end this was a perfectly acceptable riff on a Flanders brown/biere de garde crossover but its hard to say much more; not particularly exceptional, but priced as if it were, at least on the easy coast.
