Must stop on any trip to Denver. Should be the first place you go. Always has a great beers on tap and great events. Even when it is packed the service is much better than most beer bars/brew pubs. The food is very reasonable and pretty good. They serve food nice and late also. Great place to start the night and then hit the rest of the town. Do not go to Denver and miss this place.

Situated in downtown Denver, and surrounded by a sea of frat bars, is probably one of the biggest beer geek draws in the country.

The tap list here is enormous, and much of it consists of many Colorado brews, which there are plenty of wonderful gems to chose from on a day to day basis. Occasionally Russian River items show up here as well.

The atmosphere is top notch. Dark, surrounded by beer brewerania and paraphenalila, even sitting next to a spot dedicated to Don Younger lets you know that this is no ordinary run of the mill place.

Service is fine, it's a little indifferent, I am not sure how well versed the staff is to answering questions about the beers or how knowledgeable they are, but they will get you what you want when you need it in time.

The food is nothing spectacular. Garlic wings are from the garlic out of a supermarket jar, edible, but I was wishing they used the real thing. The Cajun burger is way too salty, but I don't get the impression the food here is the attraction. You'll order something it will come without much wait and it will be fine.

Many of the locals I spoke with were also real nice people, the place has a real good vibe. Worth a trip for every beer fan.

Atmosphere: While the focus is truly on beer here, and that is appreciated there isn't much more than that going on. Truly hard to judge the atmosphere, as their just wasn't much of one.

Quality: They truly have a focus on doing beer correctly. Hats off to them for clean glasses, clean tap lines, a clean facility.

Service: Our bartender had 14 years of service in for Falling Rock, and was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable, Great recommendations all night. Our server as we moved later to eat was very nice, and professional as well.

Selection: I would have a hard time seeing what they could do to improve their selection. The best I have ever seen.

Food: I only tried the 420 Sweet Death Wings, and I highly recommend them. The best sauce on wings I have ever had.

Value: A few bottles were outrageously priced, but, I will still say the pricing is reasonable, as there are many affordable options to explore via tap, or bottle.

Overall: The best beer bar I have ever been to. Highly recommended. I will be back there before I fly out Tuesday.

Visited on 10/13/12. GABF Week. Went in middle of afternoon.

A: This place is a real craft beer paradise, they have a nice bar that could hold about 15-20 people, tables all over the place and a large front patio that can hold an additional 150-200 people.

Q: They get some really good beers that are on peoples wants list and if you go there and cant find anything, then you are an idiot.

S: Service was lousy...mind you it was GABF week and the place was about 3/4 full, but staff better if you know you are going to be busy. Waited 20 minutes trying to get a beer after being told by bartender "Be Right Back"...and know what you want to order and dont ask, or youll get left behind.

S: Killer selection, tons of taps with the entire gambit eing covered

V: Over priced, you are not only paying for the quality beers but you are over paying for the CO local beers too. If you get away then less than 7-8 bucks a pint, then you got lucky.

Overall, Id like to visit this place when it as dead but dont think it would ever happen...they know they got you there and dont care if you stay or go. Good to have gone once....but wont make the same mistake again, my money is at other places too.

So here's the deal...if you like craft beer you need to come to this place. Their tap selection is stellar, with a fantastic selection of Colorado-based breweries combined with other top-notch recognizable beers from Deschutes, Russian River, Stone, Green Flash...you get the idea. There are even beers from the East Coast on tap like the seasonal Dogfish Head Punkin' Ale which is outstanding. I had the RR Blind Pig, Port Wipeout IPA and a kick-ass Southwestern Chicken Sandwich. My buddies had the Veggie Burger (which has received rave reviews on this site) and the Club sandwich which he loved. Bottom line...this combination of beer and food is hard to beat in a place that clearly takes is craft brews seriously. Enjoy. You won't regret it.

This was my second time here even thought its been a year between visits. I stopped by the place on my way to the airport yes I know a little out of the way but it's one of the best beer bars in the US so well worth it.
I stopped by before an afternoon Rockies game the bar was half full got a seat at the bar. The atmosphere was mixed with all different ages, gender, nationality drinking great beer some out on the patio some inside.
The quality is second to none at least on the day I was there I ordered Pliny the Elder for $7 a pint great deal then order the beer batter mushrooms which were excellent. After another Pliny I order an Odell Myrcenary which is another great IPA. It was like I was a kid in a candy store so many great beers so little time with over 75 taps and 150 bottles there is something GREAT for everybody. If there's a beer bar in Denver that you must try this is one of them Cheers.

There is little else to say about this place that hasnt been covered before. It has a great chill atmosphere, crazy selection of constantly rotating taps (looks like its close to 50 taps), and probably the best Veggie Burger I ever had! No joke...just get it, even if you arent a vegetarian.
I was lucky enough to be there when they had a 2007 Czar on tap! Finally got to try PTE and had a Blind Pig...being from NY, this is quite a luxury.
Prices were very reasonable, I may even say inexpensive, but the vintage tweak I had was like $12/8oz...but obviously not all are that price.
Bottom line, if you even remotely enjoy craft beer (im assuming you do) you would be a fool to not try this place (and the veggie burger)....too bad its 3,000 miles from home.

Everything there is to say about Falling Rock I'm sure has already been said. It is what it is. A bar with okay service and fried food, but a shit-ton of beer on tap. Pretty decent selection, but could be better for how many taps there are. Service isn't great but about what you would expect at a place like this: "I'm busy, what do you want, here you go."

Barley wine month was awesome and I've heard good things about stout month. All in all, a good stop for good beer and bar food and decently priced.

I was referred to this place while working in Denver. He mentioned PtE, Racer 5, G'Knight, Deviant Dales, Yeti, Titan and 70+ more taps. A no brainer for me. I made it a point to stop prior to flying home. It lived up to expectations. Really, really nice selection of draft. Including all of the above mentioned. In addition to Bruery, Alagash, plenty of sours, Belgians, fruit beers, and everything in between. The service was great. The owner was interactive. Nice outdoor patio. My service was a 5 because I was 1 of maybe 15 patrons there at the time. It was a Monday afternoon. They are fairly low tech and rather small so I am sure when it gets busy service could be slow. Overall, a place to stop by if in Denver.

This is a great place to check out if you are a beer nerd and in Denver.

Went there after dinner with my wife and her colleague (who's birthday we were celebrating). The place is kind of hidden in a row of dance clubs that you must traverse, so keep that in mind if you are going there at night. The only odd experience was a man promptly greeted us halfway through the door and demanded our IDs. Not the friendly type of greeting where he is just doing his job- I mean the "I take my job as a doorman way too seriously to remember you are a paying customer" type of greeting. It was awkward--and lets move along inside.

Past the smug doorman, this place was awesome! Beer bottles line the top of the walls all the way around the room. Everything you could ever want to try on tap. We could only stay for one, so I chose an East Coast beer I can't readily get out in California. The beer selection is where this place really shines!

Service was pretty good, I mean the bartender was somewhat friendly--not really chatty, but noticed us when we had a question or needed a drink.

What I will take away from this place is the ambiance and the selection-- any place that has a menu for their beer is worth checking out.
