another Rush River Brewing Company brew this isn't bad but not the best IPA by far. the bottle might been old so I really don't know how good this could be but I have had it before and this is that much different from what I remember.
golden and okay lacing but poor head.
smell fairly faint hops and the malt is rather lacking.
lighter than most IPAs could be considered APA maybe not sure the taste is strong or bitter enough to get much out of this beer.
the feel is alright kinda crisp and bubbly not to bad.
the beer is rather unimpressive but still drinkable and you could go through a six pack without too much trouble alcohol wise I guess

A- Pale straw color with fine white head
S-Slightly grassy, floral, some toasted malt character, actually smells a lot like pilsner malt. Low hop aroma relative to style
T-Crisp bitterness up front, a touch malty (again pilsner malt?) Slight citrus and pine hop character, could be much hoppier
M-Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish
O- An IPA that really lacks enough hop oomph to fit the style. Pleasant and very refreshing but tastes more like an APA than an IPA, also the malt character is interesting.

Picked up a 6 randomally, I had it when I first got into craft and remembered it being a decent IPA to me then, decided to see how it fares now a days.
Bottled 2nd week of December 2012 so about a month old.
Pours a straw yellow, not quite adjunct but close, slight hop haze.
Smell is like a half Hefe half IPA, Banana, Pine, Bread and a sweet Honey
Taste is the exact same as the smell, yeasty, banana, pine finishes bitter sweet if that makes any sense to you.
Mouthfeel is rather slick and oily with a nice dry finish, definetaly the best aspect of this beer!
Give it a go if you have never had it, good unique IPA at a decent price.

12oz bottle labeled only 'week 4'
drank it out the bottle, so I can't comment on the look. smell is of bread, banana, and very strong musty underarm. taste is bready and spicy, some oak and orange marmalade show up at the finish. feel is slightly astringent but otherwise silky.
average ipa with a weird nose and a great feel.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into shaker pint (true review date is 11/29/12).
A: Pours a clear slightly golden yellow with high carbonation producing a large 3+ inch frothy white head. Excellent retention. Whitish sediment floats about in the bubbles.
S: Subdued citrus and pine hops. Pleasant...nothing too crazy or harsh...but pretty straight-forward.
T: Spicy citrus and pine hops. Hops are more present here than in the aroma, which is a good thing.
M: I don't think I've ever commented on the mouthfeel of the head before, but here we go. It is very meringue-like...light, but with definition and structure. Nice pleasant surprise. The beer itself is light bodied, smooth, with moderate hop bite (especially in the finish).
D: A nice and refreshing brew. A solid example of style. Nothing to seek out though. Would be best enjoyed with a meal.

12oz bottle with no date on the bottle, so I'm not sure how old this is. Picked it up on a recent trip to the 'sconsin. Poured into a pint glass.
Pours a clear pale orange with a moderately thick white head on top. Big citrusy nose that is inviting me to partake. Orange, lemon, floral tones - nice refreshing nose. The mouth is crisp, yet creamy. A little sharp, but smooth on the back end. Nice big citrus flavors greet me with sweet tangerine, orange rind, lemon zest. Bitterness is moderate and accessible. This is a great IPA for novices and geeks alike. I wasn't expecting a lot, but this surprised me. I would grab this again for sure.

From April, so a few months old, but at least another to try from the brewery thanks to bunkrock (Reddit).
Pours a nice looking big fluffy head that rises to almost 2 fingers before fading at a med pace, plenty of lacing, over hazy straw orange pale colored beer.
Nose has nice hops, a bit of pine, light citrus, a little grassy, hint of candied orange peel, a light malty base, hint of a yeast like bready aroma (probably from being a few months old), touch of tangerine.
Taste starts with some earthy hops, light grassy and grainy tasting, with a bit of pine and just a touch of candied orange peel and citrus. Fair amount of bitterness cuts through the big fluffy malt base, with a mild sweetness. Finish is drier, quite bitter, light lingering spicy like hops with light earthy, grassy, and mild pine hops lingering.
Mouth is med to fuller bodied, good carb.
Overall fairly decent. Not a great IPA, but tasty. Decent hop flavors and aromas, nice malty base, fairly bitter, nothing really wrong. So out of the 4 beers I've had from them they're all pretty decent, middle ground but decent.
