Review from 8/19/12.
Poured on-tap into shaker pint.
A: Pours a golden orange hue with a thin white head.
S: Spicy hops abound. Hint of citrus.
T: Spicy (and a hint of citrus) hops. Some malt, but could be better balanced. Funny aftertaste.
M: Smooth and oily feel with a slightly bitter finish.
D: A solid and refreshing brew. Nice for drinking outside on the patio with a meal.

Poured into a Pint Glass
Appearance - Extremely Hazy Dark Orange color; They do not get much more unfiltered than this. Despite that, you can make out the carbonation along the very edges.
Smell - Buttery Biscuits, Yeasts, Piney Hops, Malty Sweetness and some Toffee Notes.
Taste - Cloves, Bubblegum, Toffee, Yeasts, Malts and Floral Hops. Pretty tasty for an Amber Ale and nicely balanced, considering all the flavors.
Mouthfeel - Body is quite heavy and the carbonation is pretty strong, which is the weakest aspect of this beer. The body itself makes this beer more of a sipper rather than something you can just slam instantly, which both in favor of and against the beer.
Overall - An excellent Amber Ale despite some problems with it's palate. I've always had solid beers from Rush River and this proves to be another quality beer from that brewery.

This ale was poured out of a bottle into a pint glass. Golden amber in colour with good clarity. Hoppy, fruity smell with citrus notes to the nose. Upon first taste, the ale was hoppy upfront with a bitter malt finish and mellow malt aftertaste.
Would I buy this beer again? Probably.

Thanks to bunkrock (Reddit) for this, another Rush River for me to try.
Pours a larger fizzy 2 finger head that fades fairly quickly with almost no lacing over hazy almost murky orange slight honey colored beer.
Nose light amber reddish malts, slight sweet toasty malts, light honey malt and fruity amber like aroma, with a bit of a grassy slight earthy hop character. it also has a light sweet extract amber syrup like addition.
Taste starts with more sweetness, light sweet malts, hint toasty and amber reddish malts, hint syrupy like malts, but a nice tasty malt base, fairly toasty maybe a hint of Munich malt and crystal malt. Then fades to a light fruity floral hop, hint of bitterness with a nice hoppy base. Finish is drier, light syrupy like malt lingering taste with hint of caramel and toffee, light amber reddish toasty malt, and some lingering light spicy bitter hop.
Mouth is med bodied, good carb.
Overall pretty good. Malts are quite nice, despite a bit syrupy, nice hop character that is on the lighter side, and quite drinkable. By far the best Rush River I've had so far.

A-Poured into a pint glass, this beer gives about 2 fingers of large bubbled slightly off white head. The head hangs around for about half the drink with some lacing noted. A very slight haze. A light amber/orange color.
S-A hoppier aroma (clean citrus and grassy) than most amber ales. Also has a nice malty (sweet and slightly grainy) aroma.
T-Similar to the aroma. Malt and hops upfront and in the middle, ends a bit astringent and mouth drying but definitely not overpowering.
M-Crisp carbonation, balances the hops and malt very nicely. Medium bodied-quite nice for an amber, a touch creamy.
O-A bit heavy on the hops but quite nice complexity and an easy to drink brew. I can't ask for much more than that. A nicely crafted brew. First beer in about a week, so anything might taste great right now!

This beer does not follow a traditional amber.
Pros. Nice up front taste..malty but not overpowering.
Cons. It has a tingling hop aftertaste that is almost unnatural for a amber beer. Maybe a good start to drinking craft beers but it has nothing that makes you go wow.. this is tasty. That being said rush river does have some nice beers but a little more grain and less hops would make this beer more apealing.
