Somewhere located between yellow, orange and light brown exists the color of Clash inspired London Calling IPA. The aroma was a little hoppier than I was expecting from such a beer. Wynkoop isn't big on hops, and this style of an ipa isn't big on hops, but this was pleasant. Had a fruity vibe to it.
Taste, really wasn't all that bitter. I realized that what I described in my notes as "caskesque carbonation" was actually because it was from a cask. Sweet, but not overly so malt was enjoyable. Very earthy mouthfeel. Very old world vibe, they really nailed this aspect of the beer.
I think this is a good beer, and definitely I would recommend to some of the beer world geezers who enjoy this kind of thing. Hey wait, I enjoyed this kind of thing. . . not exactly my cup of tea, but easily one of the best English IPA's I've had, and cask beer as well.

more of an english pale in my book. not anywhere near as hoppy as the mile hi. pours a beautiful maple brown color with a light off white head one inch tall. smells very malty with only bitter hops at the end. flavor is also less exciting than their other ipa, but there is a healty dose of bready malts. i was disappointed by the lack of intensity of the hops here, but i guess thats the style. cask conditioning make the feel of this one great, really smooth and drinkable. this is a great session beer as not too filling or strong. overall a pretty good brew, but following their other ipa it didnt stack up.

Pours a clear, copper color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of citrus hops, sweet malt, and slight dry hops. Fits the style of an English IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with low carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, slight earthy malt, dry hops, and sweet malt. Overall, good aroma, feel, and blend.

First had: on cask at their brewpub
A pretty decent IPA. Poured from the cask, a clear, golden brown with a thick creamy head. Aroma was not too pronounced...general malt base with earthy hops coming through. Served at close to room temperature, the beer tasted just a bit watered down at first, but then filled out a bit once it was fully on the palate. Earthy hops, resin, and a solid amber malt background. Light-medium mouthfeel, with the cask conditioning providing a nice creaminess. Overall pretty well-balanced and drinkable.
