Cask service into a tulip glass.
A: Clear, dark amber color with one finger of persistent off-white foam head. Heavy lacing remains on the glass.
S: Raw crystal malt and bland piney hops.
T: Begins barely off-dry, with early yeast esters and well defined floral hop aromatics. Acidity is mild into the middle where bitterness rises while hop flavors turn more herbaceous and slightly medicinal. Malt becomes complex, slightly vinous. The finish is mildly bitter and slightly spicy.
M: Medium viscosity, slightly resinous on the palate, with very low carbonation.
D/O: Complex but not in a particularly dry-hopped way, this IPA is more of an interesting experimental beer than a shining example of the style. It does justice to the manditory cask service offered, but doesn't prime the palate for a second glass.

Dark, honey amber body with a nice white head. Heady, very floral hop aroma with some spice notes; zesty! Smooth, light malt feel and taste. Biscuit and light caramel flavors with a light bitterness enveloping the finish. Medium bodied.
A top-notch cask IPA. Great aroma and very easy drinking. A delight!!!

Appearance: Nice creaminess to this. Pale orange in hue with good lacing and decent foam. Good density for the style.
Smell: Subtle hints of pine and citrus. It's pretty good, but not great.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Not the strongest IPA in the world. Very subdued, but tasty. Mouthfeel starts out great, possible the smoothest IPA I've had. Unfortunately it thins out too quickly.
Drinkability: Well-balanced and easy to drink.
Overall: A good starter IPA.
