Pours black with a smallish, but persistent, dark tan head. Smell is roasted malt and some herbal hops. Nice big malty flavor. Roasted malt with some coffee notes. Balanced pretty well for an imperial stout with some base malt sweetness in the background and some crisp hops in the finish. Roasted malt bitterness throughout and some coffee notes. Very nice creamy full bodied moutfeel. Easily drinkable. Very good imp stout.

Definitely one of the brewer's top brews. An excellent version of a RIS. Deep mahogany with tons of lacing. Flavor is deep and complex, tons of malt, great tasting beer. This will knock you on your butt if you do not tread lightly, always enjoyable.

A new one from the folks over at North Country. This RIS pours an opaque black with a frothy and rather creamy white head that holds very well and leaves a nice amount of chunky lace.
The aroma is big. Dark cocoa and coffee dominate the nose but still allow a good amount of decadent sweetness. Very chocolaty; even more so after taking the aroma in for a minute. A faint bit of dark fruit sneaks in as well along with a bit of molasses. A huge dose of roasted malt. Really appetizing.
Super smooth and decadent. Formidable but not at all harsh. Again, lots of dark baking cocoa and heavily roasted malt that fades into a dessert-like sweetness. Creamy espresso and a touch of burnt raisin. Thick with just a hint of acidity. The creamy but well balanced sweetness provides a very palatable brew. A fantastic rendition of the style.
Again creamy and silky smooth in texture. Velvety with just a hint of warmth as it warms. Just the right amount of carbonation allows the feel on the tongue to remain thick/creamy without becoming too syrupy. An almost fluffy texture is achieved. A really great lingering roasty flavor and mouthfeel round out a phenomenal selection and my favorite brew to date from North Country. Those guys really nailed this one on the head.
