I really enjoyed my visit to Natty Greene's as did my entire group of 14 family members. Despite the large group they were very accommodating. The service was excellent as our waitress was very friendly and had a relatively strong knowledge of the beer and food. The game room was wonderful for our kids as my 16 year old spent $10 on the vintage video game. The beers were all of Natty's flagship plus a ton of seasonal making our choices far more fun. Plan on making back there next year.

Locals seem to love this place. Being new to the area and a beer fanatic I pretty much ask everyone where to go to get good beer. I have been there twice so far and would say it is very average. Maybe being from Northeast Ohio I am spoiled by amazing places like The Brew Kettle, Fat Heads, and Great Lakes. The beer is average and the food is average. I really like the location and it would be a great place to sit outside and people watch. I am sure I will be going to Natty Greene's many more times.

Visited in May 2013 while visiting my girlfriend from Chicago. Being a Mosaic fan, I instantly opted for the Alchemy Trial Batch, a Mosaic IPA. Clear, crisp. the fruity and flowery mosaic hops with a clean finish had me wishing I could take a growler with me back to Chicago. I ordered an ahi tuna sandwich which was tender, red, and just the right consistency. Not half cooked, not so raw as to where you'd swear you were eating ground raw tuna. The bread wasn't tasteless either, and had texture. A wonderful lunch. Although the decor was a little to 1800's for me, I'm sure it goes along with the culture of the company. Game room upstairs. I would've liked to spend nights there drinking and shooting pool, but only if they had Alchemy Trial.

Great looking pub in downtown Greensboro. Nice entertainment district. Had quite a selection of taps. I had a Natty Green Guilford Blond Ale. It is the best beer i have had at under 4% abv since I had a glass of Adnams Bitter in England. At 3.8% it hit the spot. It was late and it was raining I needed a session beer and Natty delivered. The club sandwich I had was great and my wife raved about her cobb salad. All in all a most pleasant experience.

A nice older building located in downtown area. Street parking is limited around the place, so expect to walk a bit to get here. Plenty of woods and brick, there is a older warehouse feel to the place, especially with all the ceiling fans in the dining area. There is a second floor for dining above the bar area. The bar can seat about 12 people and has a view of the outside dining area. The brewing area is also visible from the bar.
During my visit there were twelve beer on tap, some listed in on the menu, others on the chalkboard. Several style were on inlcuding an IPA, White IPA, Hefe, Strong Ale, Autumn Lager, ESB, Amber, Pale, and a Stout. We had several beers during the visit, and they were all fresh and of a good quality. Nothing to blow the barn doors off, but all were solid and easy to drink.
We did not have any food, but the service was friendly and prompt.
The stop here was enjoyable, and if I ever find myself in the area again I will make an effort to stop in.

Being used to the craziness of the DC area, I REALLY appreciate towns like Greensboro. Wow... what a great change of pace!
Atmosphere: I don't think there is a single building over 2-3 stories in the downtown area surrounding this Brewery/Brewpub, but I totally dig that about it. This place is located near a train crossing in a very cozy area, surrounded by a bunch of Mom and Pop retail stores that are downright fun to loiter in. The inside looks like your standard brewpub, impeccably clean, and with a cozy little bar section towards the back.
Quality and Service: The service was fine and our server was both knowledgable about the food and the beer. The quality of both the beer and the food ranged from serviceable to a bit more than slightly above average.
Selection: All of the standard styles were represented, with a few tasty seasonals as well. I'd say there were at least 10 selections on tap the night we went.
Food: My sandwich was just decent, but my wife's burger was to die for. Overall, I guess I'd say that it was worthwhile in the food department.
Value: Compared to DC (which I'm used to) this place was a steal! I don't remember the exact prices of the beer, but I do remember that they had a nice Happy Hour.
This is definitely the place to go in Greensboro. However, afterwards, stumble down the street to Mellow Mushroom for a nightcap. :)

Parking is a pain in the ass. We drove around the streets for 15 minutes at least before finally coming on an open spot on the street about a half mile away. Walking to the restaurant, I was surprised by how lively and vibrant downtown Greensboro is. There are a ton of bars and night spots, and a ton of people at them.
Natty Greene’s immediately seemed like a hip, lively joint. Located on the corner of a large, red brick building, the interior features a lot of exposed brick, a high-ceilinged, long-ass room, a bar in the back and not nearly enough seating for their popularity. It was past 8:00 at night and the wait was still on the order of an hour.
Luckily, we slid into a spot at the bar. The service was a bit slow and impersonal, but they were pretty busy and we were on the end, so I give them a bit of a pass. The beer on tap came in a wide variety. Five or six standard ales topped the list that they bottle and distribute regularly. The second half featured six to eight special, seasonal pub brews that you’re unlikely to find anywhere else but the pub itself, which I’m always a big fan of. We went through samples of all of the beers not available year-round. While I found most of them to be solid sessions, none were outstanding and some were downright bad. The lagers and wheats were too light and the IPA was way too bitter up front with a terrible finish.
The food menu is pretty expansive. Your typical pub fare is dressed up enough to make it sound interesting, but not so much as to make it sound pretentious. We went with smokin’ turkey sandwich rounded out by raspberry mayo and Poseidon wrap filled with Mediterranean toppings and shrimp. I’m pretty sure the turkey sandwich came out wrong, as there wasn’t any raspberry in it, and the Poseidon was pretty good, but nothing to return for.
Overall, while I certainly wouldn’t complain about having Natty Greene’s in my hometown, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again, either.

I was really impressed with this one. Location is in downtown Greensboro and has a nice rustic vibe. Lower floor is a pub (almost has a family restaurant vibe) with the second floor being more of a bar. Although I haven't been blown away by bottled Natty, the brewpub features something like 6 brews that are not bottled, these tend to be better than the bottled offerings. When I went they were sadly out of the Dunkelweizen :(. Menu is of a small to medium size and fairly standard fare, but I found myself very impressed with the food quality. Worth going for the burgers alone. Prices were average though if you watch the beer specials the place can be downright cheap.
Overall: a Brewpub that gets the food right, reasonable prices and features beer that you can only get in the brewpub.

I've been here quite a few times, and have been impressed by their selection of beers, the service given by the staff, and the general atmosphere of the place. Sure, while the staff may not know everything about the beers they are serving, they have always been very fast and courteous. Depending on the day you go in to Natty's, you may be able to catch 2 $ pints, which is a real bargain for some awesome, solid beers on tap.
The layout of the place is interesting. When I take my wife, we usually sit down in the dining area, grab dinner or lunch, or eat/drink out on the patio if it's warm enough. If I'm going with some friends, we'll drink a few brews up on the second floor, in which the service is just as good as the dining area if you're ordering food. As for the third floor, this is the VIP area, and from what I recall from a graduation party, they have only the standard year round brews on tap up there.
Overall, this place is definitely worth your time if you're a local, or if you're just passing through.

A: Nice patio outside, classier dining area downstairs, and a kind of a college area upstairs.
Q: Good stuff on tap, always cold. Good bar fare on the menu, always hot&fresh.
Service: no bad experiences here, really. Funny story; some locals joke about this place cause guys tend to hit on the bartenders just a bit too much. It makes for great entertainment on friday's.
Selection: Their beers are pretty good, I enjoyed it all. I had an internship in winston/salem for 2 months last summer. The entire time i was there, the menu/tap list was not 100% correct.
Food: Standard bar grub, not many surprises. Get the pretzels!
Value: Pretty good. Pay for what ya get... which is usually good.
