Enjoyed at the 3rd Annual Black & Blue. Thanks brawleys!
A - clear, deep copper color with white, bubbly ring of head; not much lacing that i noticed
S - tropical and floral hops, peach, bit of fresh roadside skunk or weed
T - mild, tropical, hoppy base with some honey-like sweetness throughout; finishes with a Juicy Fruit lightness
M - medium bodied with light-medium carbonation; slightest bitter, coating mouthfeel
O - light-ish and clean for a DIPA. solid overall. would try again.

Had this Natty's in Greensboro. Poured from the tap into a pint glass. Nice rich appearance with a frothy head. Smell screams hops. Wonderful balanced taste. The mouthfeel is on point with good carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, I would give this around a 4.25-4.30. Solid offering if you pull up for a pint.

Extra courtesy of funhog, thanks! Snifter.
A: A gentle pour yields me two ounces of liquid and four fingers of beige sea foam. This is absurd, I've never had an IPA do that. I don't know what to make of it. The head looks very nice and the retention is very good, but the head is just so damn large. Soapy lacing forms a sheet all over the glass as the head slowly recedes. The body is a very dark orange and pretty hazy.
S: The hop profile is dank pine and citrus flesh: orange, grapefruit, and tangerine. Floral notes are evident but restrained, and there's a light spiciness. Malt is balancing but not overdone. It brings to mind caramel and bread. I'm really enjoying the citrus profile. There's a little melon in there.
T: Upper moderate bitterness with a bready malt backbone and a little caramel. Orange and grapefruit meld with a light herbal character. The finish is somewhat astringent and there's a little alcohol as well as an increase in pithy bitterness. The beer is well balanced.
M: The body is medium and carbonation is very high.
Overall: I thought this was solid at first, but the astringency and overall harshness of the bitterness became unpleasant and tiresome. Add that to a lackluster hop flavor and you get a subpar Double IPA, even as malty ones go.

A: Pours a dark, slightly hazy orange with a finger of beige head that recedes into a thin ring with decent lacing.
S: Some pineapple and grapefruit citrus notes at first followed by lots of earthy and grassy hop aromas. It also smells faintly of weed.
T: Similar to the aroma, there are some citrus notes at first followed by lots of earthy flavors. Grass and pine hops with some cannabis notes as well. The finish is fairly clean with only a light bitterness and is also slightly floral.
M: Medium body and carbonation with a slightly oily feel to it.
O: A pretty decent DIPA. It's definitely unique, but works fairly well. I tend to like brighter, more citrusy DIPAs but this at least avoids being a bitter bomb.

Pours a hazy blood orange, with golden orange hues at the rim, with a thin collar of foam leaving a thin sheet of lacing. The nose and taste are pretty similar - im guessing i dont have the freshest bottle as it drank closer to a barleywine - a nice one at that. Juicy booze soaked figs, rich caramel malts, an almost herbal pollen, light citrus along with burnt sugar raisins make up a very nice profile on the nose and taste. The beer is even very pleasant to drink it just doesnt really bring too much hoppy bitterness. Would love to try this fresh and assuming i had an aged bottled it still made for a beautiful lower abv barleywine.

Light amber with golden hues in color. 1/4" white head with good retention. Lots a sticky lacing.
Smells more floral than most DIPAs I've had. There's some citrus and herbal scents as well.
The first thing that strikes me with Cannonball is the balance. Natty manages to give this beer incredible hop flavor and complexity with out going over the top with the hops. Grapefruit rind and pine cones with a good dose of spiciness all with a sweet bready malt backing. Mouthfeel is good with some crispness from the hops. This one goes down easy. Too easy. Before you realize it the glass will be empty and you'll be feeling it.
