A- Jet black, thick creamy brown head that lingers and leaves moderate lacing
S- Strong roasted aroma, some cocoa, light sweetness and a hint of pine hop, pretty impressive and inviting
T- Heavy roasted flavor, dark cherry, chocolate, bitter coffee, light bitterness on the finish and warming alcohol
M- Light carbonation, medium-heavy body
O- I enjoyed this one quite a bit, enough that I grabbed a six pack to take with me on my move from Georgia to Colorado since I know I won't be able to get it anymore. Definitely worth a taste.

A: Pours an opaque yet clear jet black in color with some moderate amounts of visible carbonation near the surface of the beer and some very dark amber + cola brown highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense foamy very dark mocha head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thick film and a thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of dark roasted malts with just a hint of burnt malts.
T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of roasted malts with moderate notes of dark chocolate and freshly ground coffee. Moderate amounts of lingering bitterness.
M: Just shy of full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and creamy.
O: This is a very big beer with a bold flavor but one that is very enjoyable - this is a beer that you need to sip slowly. I could not have more than one of these during a session but it is one to definitely try (especially now that Duck-Rabbit has corrected their infection issues). Alcohol is very well hidden in this one.

A: Poured at 57.4F into a Riedel stemless goblet. Pours dark brown to almost jet black with a strong 2 finger chocolate brown head. No translucency at all. Head subsides after 3 - 4 minutes to a generous large bubble cap with strong lacing.
N: Bitter Chocolate, Coffee, Charred Malts, a bit of fresh tobacco and and a hint of citrus. Nice nose but relatively pointed. I don't really get the 10% ABV in the aroma.
T: Relatively bitter flavor profile focused on aggressive charred malts and bitter dark chocolate with a dry , astringent finish. You get the slightest bit of hoppiness in the back end and finish which adds to the citrusy nature.
MF: I would say this is smooth but relatively light bodied (for an imperial stout) . If I dropped a quarter on it, it wouldn't float, nor would a dime. I think it's relatively well carbonated and combined with the somewhat light body it allows the hoppy and citrus flavors to work their way out onto the back of your tongue. I would honestly struggle to call this a creamy stout.
O: A nice imperial stout but not really complex in any extraordinary way. Bitterness , crispness and a citrusy edge to the profile are it's strong points.

A - Pours pretty much black with a dark dark chocolate colored head in my Weyerbacher Cuvee Glass, looks amazing. Solid retention, nearly a finger of head at the pour and a solid half finger remains nearly 5 minutes later, lacing is fantastic.
S - Lots of roasty/coffee malts, citrusy, light toasty vanilla and some smokeyness.
T - Fairly robust and bitter, surprisingly citrusy (apple/pear) flavor as well, some fruity astringency through the finish.
M - Lighter bodied, which is very surprising. Super smooth, hardly any carbonation.
O - It's pretty decent but really oddly fruity, like an apa type twist. The fruityness is the main flavor (by far) that I get out of this beer.

Growler from Myrtle Beach Piggly Wiggly, served into a snifter
A- pours pitch black with a small dark tan head that has short retention, living a creamy tan ring around the glass, no lace
S- dark roasted malt with chocolate & coffee notes, earthy/herbal hop bitterness, fruity tartness and a clean alcohol finish
T- dry smoky malt flavors, almost a meaty. complemented with herbal hoppy notes that taste slightly medicinal, the finish is bone dry with a sharp tartness on the finish
M- medium body with low carbonation, creamy mouthfeel with a smooth and dry finish, alcohol is slightly warming on the finish, but hidden pretty well
O- interesting flavor profile, different from most RIS, but enjoyable overall. The tart flavors are interesting.
