A: chocolate brown; almost black. Small head that recedes with some lacing remaining.

S: very similar to their milk stout. Opens up to lots of chocolate flavor though. Specifically it smells like milk chocolate.

T: very roasty and toasty. It actually does not taste that entirely different from a zinfindal. (I know, I am crazy). Its very malty.

M: very zippy.

D: very drinkable for 10%; kinda scary

A: Pours an opaque yet clear jet black in color with some moderate amounts of visible carbonation near the surface of the beer and some very dark amber + cola brown highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense foamy very dark mocha head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thick film and a thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of dark roasted malts with just a hint of burnt malts.

T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of roasted malts with moderate notes of dark chocolate and freshly ground coffee. Moderate amounts of lingering bitterness.

M: Just shy of full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and creamy.

O: This is a very big beer with a bold flavor but one that is very enjoyable - this is a beer that you need to sip slowly. I could not have more than one of these during a session but it is one to definitely try (especially now that Duck-Rabbit has corrected their infection issues). Alcohol is very well hidden in this one.
