Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #50 (March 2011):
Epic lacing meets a deep golden clarity. Aroma start of juicy citrus, then to mint and then hemp seed oil; hop domination in the nose. Body fluffs from the pop of smooth carbonation. Hops are thrown down hard here. Oily resin of heep seeds to citric zest, to mild tobacco. The bitterness is stern, though the flavor rises above. Warming alcohol gives off suggestions of melon, pear, and pineapple. Quick bite of maltiness runs more bready than anything else. Hops are embedded in the palate for an extremely long linger. The name calls it as well—leans a bit harsh, but nothing a true hophead can’t handle.

Pours a clear copper color with a tight, pillowy white head that leaves little bits of lacing.
Smells of citrus peel and herbal hops.
Tastes of the solid hops upfront layered over a decent malt base. Hops lead off with herbal notes rushing forward that quickly turn to vegetable notes. Honestly, it detracts significantly. Citrus notes make their through the shuffle and blend in with some malt sweetness. The malts offer up caramel and a bit of toffee.
Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this feels like a beer that could use some tweaking to become something significantly better.

Pours a hazy medium to dark copper with a one inch foamy cream head that lingers, eventually leaving sheets of lacing as it dissipates.
Wet grass, resin, dank cannabis, and lime form the initial aroma, with a fairly rich caramel malt surfacing in the background. Pine, light floral notes, and grapefruit emerge.
Flavor is decidedly sweet and malty initially, very bready, with caramel malt dominating throughout. Flavoring hops of grapefruit, lime, and resin that are evident early fade to slightly bitter hops at the finish. A little cardboard oxidation emerges in the aftertaste.
Body is a touch watery, with moderate carbonation, slight astringency, and a touch of alcohol warmth.
While the flavoring hops aren't a standout, and bittering hops are not as prevalent as some, I really enjoyed this brew. Malt sweetness might be too much for some, but it suits my palate.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass
A - dark range in color with a 2 inch head. Very bubbly as well
S - Grapefruit and pine hops with a hefty malt smell as well
T - Very piney, grapefruit as well. The booze hides pretty well for a 7.3% brew. A good amount of malt as well but also a metallic aftertaste
M - A little thin for this kind of beer, Pretty good carb.
Overall - A decent beer. Nothing spectacular
