Foam gushed a bit upon opening the ice-cold bottle. Pours to a huge sudsy head that retreats to a nice 3/8 inch layer but with no lacing (hmmm). Smell is old and dusty with some fruit and bread notes. Flavor is typical Huebert funk with the grains and hops obscured by a weird sour twang that their flagship brew is infamous for--infection. Mouthfeel is like drinking strong iced tea with bottled lemon juice in it (astringent and rough). Overall, it is drinkable and not terribly offensive but subpar for a commercial product, much like the other Huebert products. Why does Huebert make such crap while the other brewers in the OKC metro make worthy beers? It's pretty decent if it was extract kit home brew but not what I'd pay hard earned dollars for with any regularity.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Dark for a wheat beer. Hazy burnt orange. Nice white head. Decent retention.
Smell - Cidery. Abrasive fruitiness. Wheat.
Taste - Apple flavor. Unpleasant apple flavor. Slightly bitter. Grainy and a little sweet. Off flavors abound.
Mouthfeel - Medium carbonation. Medium body. Unpleasant.
Overall - A few sips are enough. It's bad.

Nobama Brew: Huebert Brewing Co., A flavourful wheat beer infused with the taste of patriotism and freedom! Made in the heartland of America!
A: Honey amber colour, nice head left after pour.
S: Citrus and a small vinegar note.
T: Wheat/malt yes, taste, hard to describe, sour notes... odd after taste.
M: Very light on the tongue.
O: This is a strange brew (no pun intended). The flavour is hard to the describe, as well as if this fits in the style it claims. Non the less, very different, glad to have it! The bottle I shall defiantly keep for me collection, a little piece of brewing/political Americana!
Thanks Ian!
