Pours a lightly hazed golden yellow, little cap of white bubbles. Scent gives a breif hint of pils malts but has some moderate grassy and floral notes. Taste brings good solid pilsner malts and combined them with a lightly lemony and grassy hop profile. Light bodied, bubbly. Decent pilsner which retains some charachter of the style and isnt just the brew pubs light beer of choice for BMC drinkers.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured into a sampler glass.
Appearance: Clear pale light straw color. Dies dow to a ring of foam. Little head or lacing.
Nose: Light bready malt. Slight floral hop presence.
Taste: Follows smell. More husky/bread like though.
Mouthfeel: Well carbonated, crisp, light, hoppy/carbonic acid bite on the finish.
Overall: Brewed to style, no real flaws, but no real flare. Comes of a bit uninspired...even for a pilsner.

Part of my sampler at the brewery this was a mini version of the seasonal double pilsner I had and previously reviewed. Poured a nice golden color, very transparent, light white head that left no cap. The aroma was a little sweet with hints of corn and some spiced hops. The taste is a little thin but the flavor is nice with some spice and malt balance up front and a little bitter in the finish. Decent but the double pilsner was not as thin and was a better brew.

The last of three beers I had while at the Brewery.
Poured from tap a nice golden yellow color with a rather small head maybe a quarter inch if even that. This was really a NOLA take on a Pilsner. I nice spicy hoppy pilsner with just a hint of sweet herbs, with just a touch of bitterness to the tongue. Goes down nice and smooth, and makes a great partner for a grilled checken sandwhich.

A: Pours a clear golden/yellow color. A large and rocky white head rises to two fingers with good retention. Light lace is left as the foam recedes.
S: Floral, grassy, and spicy hops. Some biscuit and buttery malt lingers. Some diacetyl that detracts a bit, but a miner consern.
T: Very crisp and clean. Floral, grassy, and a little spicy. A good malt presents. Very light diactle, buttery malt and biscuit. Soft, but very nice.
M/D: A light to medium body. Crisp, clean and refereshing. Very easy to drink. I can quaff several with no problem.
This is a very good lager. I really enjoyed this. Subtle, but very enjoyable. Perfect for the hot days in New Orleans.

This is the best American interpretation of a Czech style pilsener that I've had produced in the states. Enjoyed this at the brewhouse in NOLA. I was not surprised to find that the resident braumeister was trained in Bavaria, studying in college and working in a brauerei. I'm surprised that I haven't found more of this quality in America, especially in the predominantly German states/areas. Drink it and enjoy. Well done.

Straw colored, light yellow and crystal clear in the glass. Small light white head and decent carbonation.
Nice aromatic nose. Good hop character in the aroma , floral notes.
Hop character is predominate in the taste with nice earthy tones. Crisp and tight flavors with nice balance with the malt
A nice drinkable beer, esp on a hot summer day in NOLA.

Pilsner (German Pilsner)
Had draft sampler at Crescent City Brewhouse, NO on 3/19/09 - afternoon
A 4.0 - Very cool mini wheat type glasses for their 5 brew sampler. Little to no head, a minimal lace collar (could be the pour or sampler glass?). Light pale straw in color, clear golden, noticeable carbonation.
S 3.0 - very mild, not bad just not much. Little to no skunky-ness like some Pilsners can be.
T 4.0 - Light malts, some expected pilsner spicy type hop notes. A solid attempt at the style in my book. This was the best style rep on the table in my opinion.
MF 3.5 - light in body, medium to high in carbonation.
D 3.5 - This was the most drinkable brew in my opinion out of my sampler.

This was served on a hot hot hot day in nola served cold in a pilsner glass at the bar
Color a bright yellow with rings forming nicely as I drank
A fruoty bitter finish and the aftertaste lingered but in a good way not very drinkable for sessions on a hot day too heavy but very good

The Pilsner was served in a large modified pilsner- hefe hybrid glass. The beer is bright gold with a slight chill haze. It has extremely active carbonation. 1" off white head some lacing. Not a bad looker.
Light floral aroma backed with grass and grains.
The taste is decent. It is a bit sweet with some backend bitterness. There is some floral notes and a hint of malts. This is a good crossover beer as any BMC fan won't feel to threatened. Still it works for me.
The mouth is well done and is very crisp. Yes, easy to drink, but it may not hold your attention for long.

Gold/dark straw in color. Clear. Only negative is the lack of head. There is slight lace.
Thin aroma; crisp, little hop. No flaws.
This is a truly disappointing beer. The primary flavor is skunky; yet, it is from the tap. How is that possible? The body is about right, but the flavor is too distracting to give mouthfeel more than an average score.
Sorry, not a winner, best to avoid. Think Heinekin.

Pours a typical golden pils color with nice head. Aroma seems standard for a pils, hoppy with some spice and a light sweetness in the finish. The taste is pretty good, crisp and likable. It isn't gonna blow your mind by any stretch of the imagination. It would be very easy to drink a bunch of these, but I'd rather have something with a little more body.

Dull pale yellow in color. Very thin head, no lacing. The aroma is tame as some light grass can be detected. The flavor is disappointing as the malt and bitterness levels are turned way down, as if to satisfy the tastebuds of the leading macros out there.
Slightly crisp and a very clean finish. Very light bodied. This is a very bland and "safe" beer brewed with the typical tourist in mind.
