Shorts Mmmkayyy.

Part two of the remaining fridge stragglers. This one was actually left here by somebody and judging from the style of price tag it was have come from a local store that is notorious for selling old beer that sits in direct artificial lighting. Anyway, shorts usually does a pretty good job with most beers so I'm hoping for the best here.

Look - From the twelve ounce bottle hard poured into a dimpled pint glass. This brew pours a murky golden and copperish combination sitting atop it a finger and a half of dense white head that quickly starts leaving immediate stick and a thick froth amongst the top of the swill along side a thick ring around the edges. Some floating sediment is apparent and the carbonation appears to be moderate. Lacing and stick retention isn't all that impressive but it is apparent.

Smell - Lots of floral aspects all over the initial whiff followed by some grapefruit in moderate amounts. Malt levels are rather low. It basically smells like flowers and grapefruit rinds, though not as much grapefruit as an IPA specifically marketed for that flavor of you get what I'm saying. Smells like the beer I had prior to this, only fuller and with what I already mentioned.

Taste - More citrus here than anything else. Big notes of orange and tangerines whilst nearly completely dropping off the aforementioned grapefruit that was present in the nose. Floral aspects all remain. Odd funky note as well which I'm not sure if it was intentional or whether or not the beer has sat since it came from an infamous store. Either way it is still pretty tasty and better than I had anticipated.

Feel -The body is fuller than I had expected with an exquisite creamy presence though the rather high level of carbonation kind of throws it off. Lots of orange flavor comes through as it sits around the mouth and it swallows with a moderate about of bitterness and even a bit acidic surprisingly.

Overall -This is a lot like their space rock. Only better in my opinion. With this flavors, it begs me to ask the question of what exactly an ' American Pale Lager ' is. Nothing lager like about this beer. Just call the damn thing an IPA and be done with it. ANYWAY, This was definitely an enjoyable beer but not so complex that it is earth shattering. I really feel you'd have to just try this one to understand what I'm getting at. I'd drink it again. Lots of flavor for a meager 5%
