poured from bottle into a pint glass. Pours an orange/gold color with a small head.
Succulent aromas of hops, citrus, navel oranges, guava, and a touch of florals.
Medium bodied with a lot of freshness to the flavors of guava, resin, hops, oranges and citrus. The feel is good, but slightly lacking a little bit on the mid.
This is a real fun IPA. Has the hop forward characteristics, but it isn't too overpowering.

12oz into a tulip.
A: Pours a clear light brass with a small white head.
S: Perfumy guava juice dominates the nose with a hint of oily hops and alcohol.
T: Taste brings guava mixed with piney, earthy hop bitterness. Mild notes of tobacco, light fruity acidity, caramel malt.
M: Between light and medium-bodied with very light carbonation.
O: The guava came through nicely. The combination of guava with the hops used wasn't amazing, but it's drinkable and decent. A bit under-carbed, though.

Picked up the LAST bottle at Copper Vine in Grandville. Poured in a SAPP glass.
Pours a golden amber with good clarity. Fluffy white head quickly dissipates. Decent lacing and stick to the glass.
Smells amazing - big citrus aroma, mixed with a sweet smell of caramel?
T - mouth watering citrus hop juiciness. Finishes with an off balanced bittersweet. Brown Sugar?
O - This was highly drinkable and I'm glad I got a chance to taste it. I wish I could have gotten my hands on more. This is an really solid collaboration and well done summer IPA.

Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at GRG1313’s tasting.
Pours a clear orange with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, guava, citrus, and weed aromas. Taste is much the same with guava and weed flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with some interesting aromas and flavors.

Thanks go out to Andygirl for this bottle, bottled April 9th, 2013.
A- A clear light golden colour, 2" head of foam that shrinks slowly leaving some nice lacing behind.
S- Exotic tropical fruits of all kinds in the smell. Also, a wet hop like bitterness shines through, pine, grapefruit.
T- Guava in the name and, by heck, guava in the taste, big time. Nice sweet notes from that fruit that balances the hoppy, pine bitterness very darn well. After a few sips in, it's so easy to drink and i have to watch myself so I won't finish it too quickly. Pleasant long lasting aftertaste. Me likes!
M- Lowish level of carbonation and fairly light bodied, nice, very nice mouthfeel.
O- A very tasty and satisfying drinking experience here. My first Short's brew and a winner in my book. Yeah, I quite fancy the way Guava was executed here.

Appearance: a deep orange with decent clarity. small white head that leaves a little bit of a lacing
Smell: very fruity, citrus and tropical fruits, noticeable guava nectar. the hoppiness is noticeable too
Taste: again very fruit, citrusy hops with notes of tropical fruits and guava nectar. not quite as balanced as i would like. a little touch of sourness in a slightly off way
Mouthfeel: a strong bitterness that i did not quite expect, pretty sticky, not as refreshing as id hope for
Overall: definitely an interesting and tasty take on an ipa but just not quite as good as i'd hope for form shorts and undershot my expectations.
