Picked up a bottle of this while at Julio's for EBF weekend.

Appearance: An easy pour, the beer is a murky, reddish brown color with a good inch worth of slightly dirty looking head. Retention isn't great, but it's not bad either. Lacing is good, soapy and runny.

Smell: Very malty, with an almost cherry-like fruitiness to it. Definitely on the sweeter side.

Taste: Sweet and malty. The fruitiness I picked up in the nose is there, however it's not as strong as I thought it would be.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body, smooth texture, a bit undercarbonated but not enough to really take away from the beer.

Overall (Drinkability): It's not generally a style I'm a fan of, but I will admit for what it is, it's good. That being said, I don't think I would want any more simply because this isn't a style of beer I generally drink. Give me an IPA...

Appearance: dark, brownish red. near opaque. almost nonexistent tannish head. leaves a slight lacing on the sides.

Smell: bready, caramel malts, some fruits

Taste: strong bread and caramel malts upfront, slight notes of fruit. backside is taken over by bitter chocolate. I am bigger fan of it up until the chocolate

Mouthfeel: pretty light and smooth, slight lingering chocolate bitterness.

Overall: This is a decent one. not overwhelmed by it. I think it would improve with out the chocolate taste at the end.
