Notes:
A beer cloaked in secrecy. An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A sort of dry, crisp, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there's never been anything else quite like it.

I bought this beer because of its packaging. It always seems to catch my eye so today i went for it.
Pours a nice clear gold with 1/2 inch foam which goes away in a hurry, but leaves a little reminder on the sides of my mug.
I honestly cannot smell this beer at all. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.
Taste is an interesting combination of cream and apricots. A little malty aftertaste.
Sharp carbonation and just enough body give this a good rating.
Overall, this is actually a pretty tasty drink, but as far as beer goes its just avg. I'll drink it again, but not very often. Good beer for a beginner.

I've had this as both on tap and out of the bottle, and I definitely enjoy it out of the bottle more.
Magic Hat #9 was so much better out of the bottle. It didn't look as nice, but it smelled and just tasted better. Truly a good brew to partake from and one that I'll be enjoying from for, thankfully, quite some time.

Copper color, 1/2" head on it, mostly white, small bubbled head. Aroma was a weird, but inviting fruitiness and pale cracker malt smell.
Taste, whoa, what is this, like some of the bad virgin islands brews? The fruit aroma now tastes like perfume! Even the alcohol part! Shit what is that, a mix of fake apricot, peach and $5 a gallon perfume? Overpowers anything resembling yeast, malt or hop flavor. Really distracting and not enjoyable.
Of course, if the taste is bothersome, then the mouthfeel isn't gonna be much better. This beer truly wasn't for me. I like fruit beers, I really do. But this? No. Hell no. I'll look at it, I'll smell it, but I doubt I'll ever drink it again.
