Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a Sam Adams, Perfect Pint glass; canned on 09/27/19.
A: Pours a cloudy, dark amber/caramel color with ochre highlights and a foamy, two plus finger, wheat colored head, solid retention, and excellent, complex lacing.
S: Aroma of caramel predominates, giving way to more honeysuckle, lemon, orange, and pine. Very clean.
T: Semisweet. The palate certainly follows the nose, but thought I got straight up cherry at first. Iced tea unquestionably in the middle. Peach and grapefruit? Perhaps. Strong, solid, almost minty bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with excellent carbonation and full, creamy presence.
O: One solid American IPA. 6.6% ABV and 66 IBUs. Would definitely have this again and recommend it to anyone who likes hop bombs.

Drank from a 12 ounce can.

Appearance: rich honey color, 1-1/2” head, excellent lacing.

Smell: subtle malty.

Taste: starts malty and ends slightly bitter.

Mouth Feel: finely carbonated, creamy, smooth.

A drinkable beer. I would not purchase again.

7/21/19....pours dark copper, amber combination. Minor foam. Light sweet caramel nose. Ready. Taste opens slightly sweet and then spills into a fast bitter. Orange and peach flavors. Persistent bitter after initial wave. Nice IPA.

another decent ipa from this recent can mix pack, some of them were a little samey to me, but none of them were bad. this is a touch heavier than most of the others, fairly malty as they go, which i dont always remember from these guys, but seems like their new norm if these beers are any indication. this has great balance, but its an older school sort of balance that relies on some crystal malt sweetness, and i think thats kind of dated now, no matter what hops are used late kettle and post fermentation, we just sacrifice some of their character to the grain, and i think thats a poor trade off now in something like this. that said, there are still plenty of hops coming through here, and they taste unique and modern to me, some obvious stone fruit and some high alpha piney intensity as well, a neat mix of varietals i would think, and pretty robustly dosed. there is a honey and biscuit note to the grain, even a nuttiness, maybe one steep deeper on the toast and caramel than the hops seem to want, and i am kind of surprised they took in in this direction, especially given the malty nature of some of the others in the box, but its a neat mix of different hoppy beer ideologies in one can, and thats pretty cool i suppose. perhaps a little less drinkable than some of the others too, but the carbonation is on point and this is drier by the end than it is in the middle. good but not great, at least for me, but great hop complexion in this.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has an orange/beige color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, some fruits. Taste is light pine, malts, a touch of citrus, mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an easy drinking and solid beer.
