The result of mystical exhortation and strange portents in the sky, Humble Patience was complex without being heavy...a marriage of many riches. An Irish-Style, deep-ruby Red Ale with tantalizing layers of flavor.

Deep mahogany/ruby color barely allowing any light through. Beige foamy head that sinks slowly. Aroma of toasted malt, light hop, and a hint of cocoa. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, and rolls the roasted malt flavor over the tongue. Flavor has undertones of nutty chocolate and fig and mild hop bitter. Malt and chocolate seem to pick up in the finish, and then subside to let a bitter hop aftertaste surface. Fine lacing is all that's left in the glass from top to bottom. I'll have another.

Catch up rating form notes, 2012: Bottle from my brother-in-law (this is back in the day when Magic hat was a big deal). Medium dark amber, small foamy head. Aroma is malty, slightly ashy, roasty malts. Taste is more of the malts, not sweet, but nutty and dry. Decent consistency and feel.
