Lovely deep red with tanish head that dissipates quickly. Sweet malty smell, great Irish red smell. Very sweet and malty, with a great smokey molasses taste to it. I am yet again satisfied with my Magic Hat tastings as I am very rarely disappointed by their brews.

A: The beer is hazy brownish amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin beige head that died down a bit but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a thick collar around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light to moderately strong aromas of toasted malts in the nose along with notes of toffee and hints of brown sugar.
T: The taste is slightly sweet and has flavors of caramel and toasted malts along with some hints of tea.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a bit of dryness in the finish.
O: This beer is very easy to drink but seems to be a bit sweet for the style.
