I wish I could remember the name of my server, a thin tall, long dark haired, 20 something woman who had to deal with the rude guy next to me speaking of vile innuendo. The whole time she was very professional to me and focused. Other than that guy, the atmosphere was as good as can be for a brewpub near a mall... chatted with a guy originally from the Flint, Michigan area and his girlfriend. The beers were solid, although I like their porter more. Selection was standard fare for the most part, although they did have couple of special taps. I would stop here again if in the area, as there seems to be quality people in the area. On a trip the only thing better than good beer is good people.

The atmosphere of this place is kindof weird. There is nothing funky about it...if you didn't know you might think its a chain brewpub. Its located right next to the Kitsap mall with a host of other "chain" places right beside it. And the building itself has the same sort of feel to it. That being said however this place is certainly not a chain. And the quality of everything here is pretty decent. Their beers are kind of hit and miss to me. Some are real good and some just so so. The ones that I like are the FAT (scottish ale) and the Bavarian Hef. Their pale ales and IPA's however did nothing for me. Their food is real good had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes both were excellent. Pretty good place overall if you can get past the cookie cutter chain atmoshpere.

Next to a mall so you get a mall crowd and atmosphere. It is in Silverdale so you get lots of bad military haircuts. The place has a very Rock Bottom and RAM like feel to it as soon as you walk in. i could instantly tell this was not a craft beer place and I was correct. Food was good but overpriced. A $28 steak at a brewpub in Silverdale? Seriously? Ummm NO! The service was average, not much beer knowledge except what is written for them on the menu. Selection is 6 standards and 2 guest. The house beers ranged from below average to one being good. The beers were were not craft and tasted like a Rock Bottom brew at best. Food was good enough. Overall, I was highly disappointed in this place and will not recommend it to a serious BA.

atmosphere is a big box filled with seats.
service was good, typical for a brewpub, you can tell that the people enjoy working there.
selection was fine, they had there typical 6 plus two that were not there normal seasonals, no stouts, or porters at the time.
food was tasteless, had the calimari (no taste) the boston chowder (is that new england) tasted processed, and not as good as ivars processed chowder, the ribeye - cowboy style was not that tasty, kid had the El Diablo pizza that was not hot or spicy, and rather bland, wife had duck which was the only item that had flavor...
overall not impressed at all with the food nor the beer, skip this place, just because it is the only brewpub on the kitsap pennisula does not mean that it is good.

I visited the Silver City Brew Pub while traveling through the Kitsap Peninsula with my wife. We stopped at Silver City for lunch.
Atmosphere is an industrial theme, with large exposed wood posts, and steel beams. It can be a noisy place. especially when it is busy at lunch. There are two levels with a lot of table seating, and a modest bar area n one side.
Quality is good. The craft brews are quite good, as is the food.
Service was quite good considering how busy they were. I also ordered a half dozen bombers to go, and they brought them to the table very quickly.
Selection consists of 6 regulars brews, 4 seasonal selections and 4 guest taps. The guest taps are apparently to make up for low production during a remodel of the brewery, which was ongoing while we were there. There are also macros, wines and cocktails, along with fresh brewed root beer and ginger ale.
Food as stated before was good. There was a nice selection of sandwiches salads and such. The menu reminded a little bit of a Red Robin or TGIF restaurant.
Value was just OK for what you get. $10 lunches, sandwich and salad or fries. Pints were a bit pricey in my book at $5.50 each. Bombers to go at $5.42.
I enjoyed lunch at Silver City, and I would certainly go back again. I would love to spend more time there, especially if I could find a time when it wasn't crowded.

I have been living in the area for about five years and discovered Silver City Brewing Co. almost immediately upon coming here. From top to bottom, this brew pub is of the highest quality. The food is always fresh and served in a reasonable time. There is sometimes a wait to get in to a table, but the fare makes it all worthwhile. The staff is there to help you with selecting the best choice in food and their extraordinary beers. On that note, they are an award winning brewery as well. They brew some 25 different beers thought the years. Some are seasonal and some are standard for all seasons. If you are ever in the Silverdale, WA area it behooves of you to stop buy for good food and better beer.

Maybe I just came at a slow time (brewing-wise), but considering some of the excellent Silver City beers I've had in the past over at Collin's Pub, I was a bit disappointed with my experience here.
The brewpub is located in the Silverdale Mall, and frankly it has kind of mall restaurant feel to it. By that I mean it has something of a TGIF feel, with high ceilings, flat screen TV's (three of them) and a high energy sort of vibe. Frankly, there is a distinct plastic/formica feel to the place. The brewpub was pretty crowded the Saturday afternoon I visited, but fortunately I was able to snag a seat at the bar. Was still full from breakfast, so I didn't get anyting to eat, but the menu seemed to suggest a fairly typical pub grub selection, perhaps a cut above that (the guy next to me had the salmon with asparagas and garlic mashed potatoes). As I was at the bar, service was generally pretty good, despite the crowd. As for the beer selection, I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I liked the fat, IPA and hefeweizen, but was less thrilled with the Red, pale ale and gold. The seasonal ESB was drinkable, but by the same token was nothing special. I got the 6 beer sampler, which included the 6 house beers and the ESB for $7.25.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit Silver City, but am not sure I can think of any reason to go back. I didn't see any bottled beers that looked particularly interesting to take home, and the draft selection was pretty unimpressive. In addition to the house beers, they also had a lambic and miller lite.
From now on I think I'll stick to getting my Silver City fix at Collin's and the Uber in Seattle.

There is really only one reason I stop in at Silver City, the Fat Bastard Scotch Ale. A really fine beer. The other beers are just ok, not bad, but certainly not exceptional.
The place is usually packed, quite a few families with children. The bar area is not that large, and not really separated from the family friendly area.
Service is pretty good, they do seem to care about giving good service, a plus for a place as busy as Silver City.
Food is so-so, and overpriced. The pizzas are ok, the Rueben is a joke. The burgers are decent, but once again, not outstanding. Frankly I have given up on eating there.
Take your wife to the mall, and have a Fat Bastard at the bar ( if you can find a seat). Not really much else to recommend here, unless TGIF's is your idea of a good time.

When driving to this place, I totally would have expected an Applebees, Ruby Tuesday, TGI Friday or some other chain located next to a mall.
However, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It seemed popular. Business was hopping the whole time I was there.
It was an attractive place. Clean and well appointed. Even though it was busy, I didn't have to shout to be heard. Nice menus, the food looked good, though I didn't try any. They had around a dozen beers on tap, a pretty wide representation of beer styles, American-style heavy. It seems like they care about their beer and their customers.
As a customer myself, I was pretty well taken care of. The bartender was friendly and helpful. They willingly gave me and my friend a couple samples. I noticed a couple things I wasn't totally impressed with, though. The bartenders spilled a lot of beer, not trying too hard for good, efficient pours. Also, I noticed that the pitchers they poured were frozen. Is that a common practice? Minor gripes, overall a good service experience.
Twelve beers or so seemed like decent selection to me. It didn't blow me away, but there were at least a few beers I was interested in. They have a rotating seasonal list. Strangely, a stout was the current seasonal when I visited in August.
Check this place out if you're on the Kitsap peninsula! Hopefully I'll be back again.

This was my second visit. The building is very nice with the shiny fermenters and various tanks fully visible from the dining room and bar. Their beer is very good (despite the stupid names) with a wide variety of seasonals and year rounds. Fat (aka Fat Bastard; Wee Heavy) and Whoop Ass IPA (Double IPA) are my favorites and world-class. The food is good though not mind blowing. My one complaint is the fact that there are very few vegetarian options on the menu.
Very nice brewpub and a must stop if you are in the area.
