Served at the brew pub in Houghton on a very windy spring day. Poured with nitrogen into a pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a deep black with a nice nitrified cream head. Good lacing as the beer disappears.
Nose: The nose is very faint, but some roasty notes, some chocolate. Nothing immaculate.
Taste: Taste is the same, very Ho hum. Good creamy texture supports a buy of roasted malt and cocoa. Little bit of coffee in there.
Mouth: Very creamy texture, enjoyable.
Drink and overall: Overall....a decent stout from the KBC. Nothing to blow you away, but a good beer from a local brewery.
Serving type: nitro-tap
