Poured a murky brown with decent lasting head.

Smell grainy and a bit off. Cardboard does come to mind.

Taste starts out with caramel malt, takes a wrong turn towards a skunky flavor, and then is saved a bit with a bit of citrus hop in the finish.

Mouthfeel pretty good, medium carbonation and mouthfeel.

This wasn't very interesting for me, and it sort of fell flat.

12 ounce can
Served in a conical pint glass

A - This beer is as advertised, amber in color, with golden highlights. It is topped with an inch of off-white head. There is some suspended yeast as well.

S - I smell sweet caramel malt. It almost has a maple sweetness to it.

T - The taste has a sweet caramel taste to it along with some toffee. There are some faint hops but pretty sweet overall.

M - Medium

O - This is a pretty good beer. It is a little sweet, but it is a decent amber.

Pours a brilliant, copper-brown. 2 inch head forms with rougher texture (larger bubbles) than expected. The off-white-to-tan head settles quickly to a 1/4 inch leaving some Belgian lace behind. The nose has notes of bread and malt without any evident hop. Hints of dried fruit (raisins?) and caraway reminiscent of Irish soda bread. Medium-to-light body. Sweet. Singular malt notes on the palate. Highly drinkable and thirst quenching. Straight forward. Modest carbonation.

Props to my aunt and uncle for the hook up on this bad boy!

A - Pours a dark amber colour with a redish hue, thin layer of head with little retention or lacing.

S - Sweet toasted biscuit, caramel, burnt sugar and a metallic finish.

T - Surprisingly sweet, loads of caramel, brown sugar and a touch of maple syrop. Finish is bready with spicey notes and a leafy green hop note.

M - Medium, smooth and a touch of dryness.

O - A tasty amber indeed, I wish they had more beers from this brewery to try, as it was a pleasurable ale indeed.

From notes from on tap at Keweenaw.

Nose is very similar sweet bready nose. White head hangs around for half the drink super drinkable. Decent lacing. Clear copper colored.

Medium to low bodied, medium carbonation. Very smooth and not really bitter or dry. Its seems to be a trend in most of their beers. Bready and sweet malts, not a lot of distinguishing qualities.

I've been to the brewery and checked out there cans and they are plastic lined and the use a micro filter but the beer never seems to be as good in the cans as it is at their brewery. Plus at the price of 2.50 a pint... whoa doggy can't beat that!

Reviewed from notes.

A. Brownish-red with a thin receding foam collar, no real lacing or retention time is present.

S. Only a thin wash of vague malt...that's it.

T. Somewhat generic biscuit and pale malts mixed together. A bit of herbal hopping appears in the finish.

M. Light bodied, thin yet bubbly.

This one didn't really impress me all that much.
