12oz bottle poured into a nonic pint. Just picked up a 6pack that they just recently started distributing. To my best knowledge this is the same beer as pie-eyed but the label doesn't say so.
A - Medium off-white head holds a nice cap. Slight haze within the copper color. Small bits of lacing stick.
S - Pine is most distinct. Underlying catty citrus. No signs of malt.
T - Has some sweet toasty malt underneath. There's a wealth of fruity citrus hop flavors early and throughout. A mild bitterness starts midway and never increases. Finishes more on the pine end of the spectrum with a pleasurable hoppy aftertaste.
M - Medium to medium-light body, medium-light carbonation, semi-dry.
O - Aroma is on target but not jumping from the glass. Bitterness is way light but has a solid hop flavor profile. There was some sweetness that never dried up in the finish leaving it lacking a good crisp feel. Worth a try but I won't gloat about this beer to friends.

Pours a clear, dark golden yellow with a medium head. An occasional piece of sediment can be seen floating around.
Aroma was too weak to pick anything unique up.
Flavor consists of a crisp caramel base. Then some grapefruit tartness kicks in the middle and the aftertaste is a slightly harsh bitterness.
Mouthfeel is is overly carbonated, but adds a somewhat pleasing crispness to it.
This is somewhat drinkable, but the harsh aftertaste could slow this down.
I have mixed feelings about this beer. On one hand, the harshness and bitterness detracts from the beer. On the other hand, that's what keeps it from being boring. I think testing this single bottle isn't doing it justice. I bet having quite a few at the pub after work would really put anyone's troubles to rest. As an IPA, I'd say the hops kicked in earlier than typical IPA's, and the long piny bitterness wasn't in this beer.

Not really a good tasting beer. Not Balanced.. Needs more middle (hearts).. To be honest, there's even less taste than there is smell. This beer seems pretty oxidized. Just a small amount of malt and nothing else really to speak of. Taste more like an adjunct than anything else. It's like most non complex pale ales.. Malt Fronts, No Hearts, Sharp hops for tails..
