Visited on a Friday night when in town to visit MTSU. I was rather impressed with this bar. The prices are very reasonable. I had a Tilburg Nut Brown for $4, Kostritzer Schwarzbier for $3.50, their special of the night a Sam Adams for $3 and some Schlitz for $2.20 a bottle. They have 4 things on tap which supposedly rotate and a good number of things in bottles. I remember a number of Lindeman's Lambic, a big selection of Samuel Smith's, and Tusker. Only vessels are plastic cups but still worth it. Very cool feel, was a bit smoky until I got used to it but it is a cigar bar.

This place has a pretty good selection of session brews. Lots of different choices and the setting is pretty badass. Neat bathroom, variety of good cigars, and a pretty good selection of beers. Like others have said, the only drawback is that everything is served in those red, plastic cups. I guess it isn't terrible and I can understand why they do it because they don't have a sink or kitchen but still! That is the ONLY drawback. Great place, good hangout, good beer selection, great cigars, good location. Liquid Smoke is one of my first choices when I am in Murfreesboro.

The best bar in Murfreesboro, hands down. A combo bar and cigar shop now (they just bought the storefront next door), Liquid Smoke is always hosting a hip jazz group and has very modern atmosphere. They have a four page beer menu for bottles, but a pretty limited draft selection, though their drafts are usually less than typical. They are also often a testing spot for any of the Hop Project brews from the local Yazoo Brewery. Liquid Smoke is a great place to grab a cigar and a quality beer and just relax with a group of friends.

I am a long time patron of Liquid smoke. It is the nicest bar in town and has a great selection. Having worked in a bar on the square I can tell you that its not easy to keep a place clean and mellow but these guys do a great job. Only complaint is that they do not have a draft selection, they will however let you use a glass. I bring my own on occasion. Some night they have live music which makes it hard to relax and the seating is very limited but if you can get in on a tuesday or wed night you can sit back and enjoy. Staff is very knowledgable about the selection and pricing is reasonable.Can't recommend it highly enough.

I have always supported these guys through the years and they certainly have the best bar in town. The selection is large for bars in the area (at the time of this writing close to 150 beers) and Mike (the owner) is a great guy who's usually willing to hang out and chat for a bit. My only complaint is that the atmosphere has suffered with the increase in their popularity. It has become more of a collage hangout so kickin' back there on the weekends is hardly relaxing. Live music tends to drown out any chance of conversation. However, I can't recommend this place enough if you are looking for a good brew in the 'boro. The staff (depending on the night) knows their stuff and the prices are fair. If you're in the area, stop in and check 'em out.
